Young and Restless men from nostalgic favorites to those we want to know better.

Young and Restless’ most recent classic episode features Nikki making a confession to Bobby, so we couldn’t help get to thinking about the former club owner and other male characters we wouldn’t mind gracing our screens once again.

1. Daniel Romalotti

It seems odd that Phyllis’ (Michelle Stafford) son, Daniel (last played by Michael Graziadei), and granddaughter, Lucy, aren’t in Genoa City. Daniel has been living in another state with lady love, Heather Williams (last played by Jennifer Landon), so all three could return, which would give Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) a family member in town as well (and more opportunity to be on the canvas). If Daniel and Heather split offscreen, he could return with his daughter. He’s bound to find love or at least an entanglement as Daniel has history with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway).

2. Bobby Marsino

After going into the witness protection program, Bobby Marsino (John Enos) was reportedly killed by a hit and run driver, but an offscreen death would be a minor technicality should the powers that be decide to bring the character back. The former-mobster-turned-club-owner with a heart was as handsome as could be and shares an interesting, though tragic connection to none other than Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). He first admired Nikki when he was a teen gofer at the Bayou, and she later had flashbacks to being present when Bobby’s brother was shot and killed. Bobby was married to Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) so we might get a mention of her and Raul (David Lago) as well. Regardless of how his return is written, Genoa City is short on intriguing men like Marsino.

3. Ronan Malloy

Cool FBI agent Ronan (Jeff Branson) would be a perfect returning ‘complication’ now that Phyllis has reunited with Nick Newman (Josh Morrow). It’s also a good time what with his half-brother Chance Chancellor III (Donny Boaz) back in Genoa City and setting up a life there once again. They could work on a case together for a shot of drama. We’d also love to see their mother, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) again, and Ronan’s adopted son, Jamie (last played by Daniel Polo), as well.

4. Travis Crawford

When Michael Roark left Young and Restless as Travis departed town after hurting Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) with his past entanglements, he teased that the character might one day come back as a wiser man. Here’s hoping that day comes sooner rather than later as he and Victoria had fantastic chemistry and it always felt like there might be another chapter in their love story down the road.

5. Tyler Michaelson

Tyler (Redaric Williams) was easy on the eyes as well as smart and creative. He was engaged to both Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Abby, kissed Lily, and worked with Devon, so his return could definitely shake up a few faces from his past, and there are all sorts of ways he could fit back into the canvas with both business and love prospects.

6. Noah Newman

As with Phyllis’ son Daniel, Noah (Robert Adamson), son of Nick (Josh Morrow) and Sharon (Sharon Case) and grandson to Nikki and Victor (Eric Braeden), is a character who is missed and should be in the thick of things with his family members and competing against the likes of Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) as per the Newman versus Abbott tradition.

7. Scott Grainger

Fans were thrilled when Lauren’s son, Scott (last played by Daniel Hall) last returned to town, but after getting involved in the weird sex-trafficking ring storyline and cheating on Sharon with Abby, he left town. Many were sorry to see him go, not only because his presence provided an opportunity to see more of Lauren and Michael (Christian LeBlanc), but because his story felt unfinished.

8. Deacon Sharpe

A Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) appearance, whether it be on Young and Restless or sister soap Bold and Beautiful, always revs viewers’ anticipation. Things are never dull when Deacon’s in town, and with past connections to Victoria, Nikki, Kyle’s mom, the late Diane Jenkins, and the dumpster interlude with Phyllis, a return would doubtless be fun no matter what, or who, he became involved with this time around. Deacon also has a son he could bring with him to Genoa City.

9. Danny Romalotti

A nostalgic favorite, Danny (Michael Damian) has serious history with Phyllis, Lauren, and Christine (Lauralee Bell), and it would dial up the excitement factor on the soap to have a rock star on the scene once again. Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) could chat him up for touring tips, and hopefully, his presence would bring about a storyline for veteran characters such as Paul and Michael.
