11 Things to Know About Popstar Turned Young & Restless Actor Joshua Morrow

Young and Restless actor was once a in a boy band.

As CBS airs a classic episode of Young and Restless that highlights some of Nick and Sharon Case relationship troubles, Soaps.com decided to share some facts about Joshua Morrow, who celebrated playing Nick Newman for 25 years in 2019.

1.

Joshua Morrow is from Juneau, Alaska. He was born Joshua Jacob Morrow on February 8, 1974.

Morrow is 6 feet tall.

3.

Joshua Morrow’s father Kem was in the Coast Guard. Morrow moved to Oklahoma with his father and sister, Jamie, after his parents’ divorce in 1977.

During his senior year in high school, Morrow moved to Southern California to live with his mother. He played on his junior and senior high school football, basketball, baseball, soccer, track and tennis teams.

Joshua Morrow majored in communications with a minor in theater at Moorpark College in California.

Morrow was cast on Young and the Restless in 1994. He had previously acted in local theater productions in California.

In 1998, Joshua Morrow formed the soul-pop group 3Deep with Eddie Cibrian, (Matt Clark, Young and the Restless), and CJ Huyer. The group disbanded in 2001.

Morrow has played on the World Poker Tour in the Hollywood Home Games for The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

On August 4, 2001, Joshua Morrow married Tobe Keeney. They first started dating in 1996.

Together, Morrow and Keeney have four children: three boys, Cooper Jacob, Crew James, Cash Joshua, and daughter Charlie Jo.

Joshua Morrow is from a family well known in the entertainment field, including casting director Clare Walker, actor Michael Paré (The Philadelphia Experiment), and actor Justin Walker (Clueless).

<p>Nicholas Newman has been on Y&R since December 31, 1988. Of course he was portrayed by different actors over the years as a young Nick, but Josh Morrow made the character his own in 1994. </p>

<p>Joshua’s here in a glam shot of sorts for Y&R. In a light grey suit, looking handsome, we don’t think the man ages!</p>

<p>Joshua (Nick) is pictured here with Melody Thomas Scott who portrays his mother and matriarch, Nikki Newman. </p>

<p>Joshua Morrow (Nick) is with Sharon Case (Sharon) behind the counter at Crimson Lights, which Sharon owns. These actors’ characters have been through a lot over the years.</p>

<p>The most recent love triangle is Nick, Chelsea and Adam. Of course, now Chelsea is living with Adam, but there are still fans out there who prefer her with Nick.</p>

<p>Avery Clark was played by Jessica Collins and was a lawyer and love interest for Nick Newman. Collins first appeared in July 2011 and left in 2015.</p>

<p>Nick and Sharon were once married. They’re getting hot and heavy in this photo but they’re not together – Sharon’s with Rey Rosales (Jordi vilasuso).</p>

<p>Nick just looks so darned handsome here. Nick’s in a suit and tie, intent on a call, which was likely about work. </p>

<p>Nick Newman was arrested on drug charges in 2001 but he didn’t do it. He was framed by Carter Mills who was actually dastardly Matt Clark.</p>

<p>Nick and Phyllis were married for a time. They lived on the ranch in the Tack House. These two came to be a couple when Nick and Sharon lost Cassie. Nick had an affair with Phyllis which led to marriage and Summer’s appearance.</p>

<p>Nick and Victoria – close siblings who have been through a lot together. Their parents are Nikki and Victor Newman. Fun fact for new viewers, Victoria was once played by Heather Tom, who is now Katie on Bold and the Beautiful.</p>

<p>Nick has known Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) his whole life. Jack and his father Victor, had a longstanding feud. Jack even romanced Nick’s ex-wife Sharon at one point. </p>

<p>Family gathers at Sharon and Rey’s place. With Jordi Vilasuso as Rey, Sharon Case as Sharon, Joshua Morrow as Nick, Camryn Grimes as Mariah, Cait Fairbanks as Tess, and Alyvia Alyn Lind as Faith.</p>
