Y&R Alum’s Character Stops at Nothing to Ensure Cousin’s ‘Killer Prom’ Is Perfect in Lifetime Film
Young and Restless actress plays a distant cousin who moves in after a shattering loss.
Young and Restless alum, Yvonne Zima, who Soaps.com readers may remember as Daisy Carter Romalotti, a role she played from 2009 – 2012, has a starring role in an upcoming Lifetime film entitled Killer Prom. Zima will appear as Sienna Markle in the television movie, which is slated to debut on Sunday April 19 at 8:00 PM ET. The story surrounds Cayleigh Wilson, whose senior year in high school is shattered by the loss of her mother in a tragic boating accident. Cayleigh, played by Canadian actress Erica Anderson (Murdoch Mysteries), is cheered somewhat when her deceased mother’s beautiful and hip distant cousin comes to live with her and her father, Tony (Mark Lutz, Ghost Whisperer: The Other Side), as Sienna helps get her excited about life again. The biggest high school event – senior prom – is coming up and Sienna will stop at nothing to ensure it’s a perfect night for her younger cousin…including murder!
Additional cast members in Killer Prom include Megan Vincent (The House Next Door) as Hannah Wilson, Gabriel Darku (October Faction) as Tyler McNichol, Brianna Barnes (The Perfect Girlfriend) as Lauren King, Kyle Meagher (Anne With an E) as Jake Davis, Heather Tod Mitchell (The Best Laid Plans) as Janet Macturn, and Ronda Louis-Jeune (Cyberbully) as a saleswoman. Killer Prom was written by Andrea Canning who also penned the recent Ruby Herring Mysteries: Prediction Murder for Hallmark.
Zima has wrapped filming on another project, a comedy entitled Hypnotized, about five people trapped in an altered hypnotic state when their hypnotist falls into a coma, and has appeared in American Horror Story and Now Apocalypse in the past year. The actress’ sister, Madeline Zima, joined Days of our Lives vet Charles Shaughnessy and The Nanny cast to reprise her former role during a reunion and virtual table read.
