Young and Restless actor’s New Orleans influenced art show at Kevin Gillentine Gallery.

Updated March 12: Christian Le Blanc had tons of support at his art opening from current and former The Young and the Restless castmates Sean Carrington (Ben “Stitch” Rayburn), Tracey Bregman (Lauren Fenmore), Kate Linder (Esther Valentine), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton), Brytni Sarpy (Elena Dawson; ex-Valerie Spencer, General Hospital) and Camryn Grimes (Mariah Copeland). Days of our Lives alum Molly Burnett (Melanie Jonas; ex-Maxie Jones, General Hospital) and Nadia Bjorlin (Chloe Lane) also came out to support Le Blanc’s show. The soap opera actor posted photos on Instagram of his friends on the red carpet and out and about in New Orleans.

On January 3, Soaps.com reported Christian Le Blanc was working on his art in his favorite city of New Orleans, where he rang in 2020. Combining both off-screen passions, Le Blanc will be showing off his latest work at a gallery in The Crescent City. According to his Instagram posts, the soap opera actor’s next art show will include colored pencil drawings of oysters, a New Orleans cuisine staple. His art will be shown at the Kevin Gillentine Gallery at 3917 Magazine Street in New Orleans on March 7. The gallery is run by “ethereal landscapes” fine artist Kevin Gillentine and Parisian master framer Vincent Bergeal. They have been sharing art with New Orleans for over 20 years.

Though born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Le Blanc grew up an “army brat” and considers New Orleans home. He is a self-taught artist who first began drawing gifts for his nephews. He was soon commissioned by the Coconut Grove Theater for work during their 40th anniversary season, was awarded second overall in his first art show at the Culver Arts Festival in Los Angeles, and was commissioned to design the 1999 Orpheus Mardi Gras Poster. Le Blanc’s art often infuses New Orleans themes and the city’s spirit. He has also been known to incorporate familiar faces in his crowd scenes, which have included Le Blanc’s The Young and the Restless co-stars. Le Blanc’s work has also been shown in the Jean Bragg Gallery of Southern Art in New Orleans and the Antoine Gallery in Washington D.C. It can also be found on his personal website Christian Jules Le Blanc.

In addition to his art show, Le Blanc will appear in the short film Across the Room. The comedy, due to be released in 2020, features his Young and Restless co-stars Tyler Johnson (Theo Vanderway), Zach Tinker (Fenmore Baldwin) and Cait Fairbanks (Tessa Porter).
