Soap opera alum starts the New Year with a new movie.

Linden Ashby, best known to soap opera fans as Cameron Kirsten on The Young and the Restless, Paul Hollingsworth on Days of our Lives and Curtis Alden on Loving, will ring in 2020 by starring in a movie on Lifetime Movie Network (LMN). Escaping My Stalker, which premieres on January 1, 2020 at 8:00 PM ET/PT, is about a 17-year-old homeless girl named Taylor (Ezmie Garcia, Strange Angel) who is taken in and adopted by a couple played by Ashby and Alexandra Paul (Melrose Place; Baywatch). After a year off the Los Angeles streets, someone from her past starts stalking Taylor and goes so far as to attack her adopted father. She enlists the help of friends from her new and old life as she discovers the man stalking her is closer than she thinks and holds her responsible for a tragedy in his own family. Soaps.com can also reveal Ashby is making his TV movie directorial debut with Escaping My Stalker, which also stars Pedro Correa (The Middle) and Mariette Hartley (9-1-1; Sister Mary Daniel, One Life to Live).

The soap opera alum can also currently be seen in the first season of the Netflix series Trinkets about teenaged girls forming a friendship after coming together at a Shoplifters Anonymous meeting. Season two will premiere in 2020. Though Escaping My Stalker is the first TV movie he helmed, Ashby directed an 2017 episode of Teen Wolf, the MTV series he starred in from 2011 – 2017 as Sheriff Noah Stilinski. Ashby’s other credits include LMN movies A Daughter’s Revenge, My Neighbor’s Keeper and The Perfect Boss, which also starred Jamie Luner (Liza Colby, All My Children). In addition, Ashby had recurring roles on the TV series Army Wives, Spy Game, Melrose Place and others. His movie credits include Prom Night, Resident Evil: Extinction, Wyatt Earp, Mortal Combat and 8 Seconds.
