Video: Robert Gant Joins ‘Good Trouble’ Ahead of Holiday Special

Young and the Restless alum reunited with The Fosters cast members on spin-off.
The Young and the Restless alum, Robert Gant (David Sherman), shared news on social media that he had been back filming with members of the cast from The Fosters as he joins its spin-off, Good Trouble. Soaps.com has the post in which the actor advised followers that a little binging might not be a bad idea and said, “The band’s all back together again! Excited to be back working with this wonderful group of folks. And if you haven’t seen #TheFosters spinoff @GoodTrouble yet, there’s time to binge and catch up before the Christmas episodes. I highly recommend it.”

Gant played Jim Hunter on The Fosters, which ran from 2013 -2018. The series, which surrounded the story of a teenager named Callie Jacob (Maia Mitchell) being placed in a foster home with a lesbian couple, spun off into Good Trouble, which tells the continuing story of Callie and Mariana Foster (Cierra Ramirez) after their move to Los Angeles to begin their lives as adults. Season one debuted in January 2019, with season two following in June. Joanna Johnson (Caroline Spencer, Karen Spencer, Bold and Beautiful) who wrote, executive produced and directed The Fosters, is also the creator of Good Trouble. Heather Mazur, who appeared as Brenda Brechen on The Young and the Restless from 2018 – 2019, plays Angela Miller on Good Trouble.
Those who remember Robert Gant as Young and Restless’ David Sherman, son of Mitchell Sherman, a role he played from 2013 – 2017, will have noticed his character’s name recently came up on the CBS soap opera when Mishael Morgan returned to Young and Restless as attorney, Amanda Sinclair, representing Chance Chancellor, and claimed to Devon that the will in which his grandmother, Katherine Chancellor, left him 2 billion dollars was fraudulent, as David Sherman had made a deathbed confession that Devon’s father, Tucker McCall, paid him to alter the will.
