The Young and the Restless alum Scott Reeves, who played Ryan McNeil from 1991 – 2001, took to his Instagram to tease an upcoming appearance on FOX’s The Resident. Soaps.com shared the post below in which Reeves, who also played Steven Lars on General Hospital from 2009 – 2013, alluded to taping in Atlanta with a photo of himself sitting in a chair that says The Resident on the back. In his story, there was another photo of Reeves outside his trailer looking at a sign that teased his character’s name is Vince. The Resident is a medical drama starring Matt Czuchry (Gilmore Girls) and Emily VanCamp (Brothers & Sisters) that surrounds a group of doctors at Chastain Memorial Hospital and the personal and professional challenges they face.
Scott Reeves will also appear in the upcoming Netflix series Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings, in which each episode will be based on one of Parton’s songs. Reeves will appear in the episode entitled Jolene. Julianne Hough (Dancing with the Stars) will play Jolene, who is a free spirit looking to leave behind her home town of Coventry, Georgia and make it as a singer-songwriter. Parton also appears in the episode, along with Kimberly Williams-Paisley (According to Jim) and Dallas Roberts (The Good Wife).
In addition to his upcoming guest appearances, Scott Reeves keeps busy running his family business, Revival Roasting Company, along with his wife Missy Reeves (Jennifer Horton, Days of our Lives) and their children in Franklin, Tennessee, near Nashville, where they live on a farm and also raise goats.
The Resident returns for its third season on Tuesday September 27 on FOX. Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings’ eight-episode run is slated to premiere on Netflix later this year. Stay tuned to Soaps.com for updates on Reeves’ airdates when they become available.
