This isn’t the actress’ first time behind sitting in the director’s chair. Tom first directed Bold and the Beautiful in 2016 and again in a 2018 episode which aired on March 18 and involved the return of Pierson Fode, who at the time was playing Thomas Forrester. In 2018 Tom joined the CBS Director’s Initiative Program which aims to provide a platform for experienced directors to gain access to showrunners, executives, managers and agents, and the opportunity to shadow CBS Television Network and CBS Television Studio shows over the course of a year. Tom also directed the short film Blink, which starred her sister Nicolle Tom (The Nanny) along with fellow Bold and the Beautiful stars Aaron D. Spears (Justin Barber) and Alley Mills (Pam Douglas). The premise of the short involved a woman dealing with an irritating day which ended in her being assaulted in her own home by an intruder, only to later wake up in a hospital horrified at the sight of her own face in a mirror.
