Gallery: Y&R Alum Scott Elrod’s Hollywood Hills Tudor Home for Sale
Former Young and Restless star is ready to move on from his impressive property.
Soaps.com has learned former The Young and the Restless star Scott Elrod (ex-Joe Clark) is selling the Hollywood home that he’s owned in since 2016. Previously listed at $3.825 million, the former soap star and his fiancée, interior designer Vanessa Vazart, have recently lowered their asking price to $3.699 million, per The Los Angeles Times.
The 1930s two-story Tudor style house is surrounded by a quarter acre of land. The house itself is 3,892 square feet, boasting vaulted ceilings, a corner fireplace and a “terrace with treetop views.” Then there’s the “sunny breakfast nook, a metallic-tile wet bar and a center-island kitchen splashed with Carrera marble.” A treehouse-like bed perched in one of the five bedrooms can also be found in the two-story home, as can a master suite with a balcony and 5.5 bathrooms. A viewing deck with a patio, pool and playground are said to round out the impressive property.
Elrod played Joe Clark on The Young and the Restless from 2014 – 2015. During his time on the CBS soap opera, Elrod’s character had a tumultuous relationship with his ex-wife Avery Summers (Jessica Collins), had an affair with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), and went to prison after extorting money from Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and framing Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard). Since his time in Genoa City, Elrod has had recurring roles on Grey’s Anatomy and Chicago Fire. He also appeared Hallmark’s Sun, Sand & Romance with Tricia Helfer (Lucifer, Battlestar Galactica), and most recently, was in the movie Atone about a former special ops soldier who is forced to battle hijackers who have trapped her daughter inside the largest church in America. The actor’s fiancée Vazart co-founded the interior design firm Space V&T. Elrod and Vazart have a son together; he was born in 2016.
