Justin Hartley’s award nomination
Justin Hartley, who played Young and the Restless’ Adam Newman from 2014 – 2016, has been nominated for a Critics’ Choice Award in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on NBC’s This Is Us, and the show was also given the nod for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. His wife, soap actress Chrishell Hartley (Amanda, All My Children, Jordan, Days of our Lives, Bethany, Y&R), took to Instagram to share the news and posted, “SO proud of @justinhartley’s Outstanding Supporting Actor Nomination & @nbcthisisus Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series! Congrats to @miloanthonyventimiglia & @sterlingkbrown who were also nominated! This cast is simply incredible.”
Former One Life to Live actress, Judith Light (Karen Wolek) also received a Critics’ Choice Award nomination in the category of Best Supporting Actress in a Limited or Movie Made for Television for her role in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

Sophie Pollono’s new series
Young actress Sophie Pollono, who played Delia Abbott on Y&R from 2011 – 2016, is set to play the title character, Layne, in Disney’s new live action series, Fast Layne. Pollono shared a video sneak peek on Instagram, and enthused, “Words cannot describe how much I love this show and character. I am beyond excited to share it with you guys! Is it 2019 yet?!”
The series, which surrounds the story of Layne’s life being thrown into a tailspin when she connects with a sophisticated talking car named V.I.N. found hidden in an abandoned shed, is set to premiere on February 15 2019 on Disney Channel.
Jessica Collins’ latest projects
Jessica Collins took to social media to share news with her followers – not only has she been off filming on an as-yet-unnamed project for the last month in Georgia, but she has started blogging again. The actress, who played Y&R’s Avery Bailey Clark from 2011 – 2015, posted a photo from her blog on Instagram, and captioned it, “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! In addition to filming in Atlanta for the past month, I’ve had another project simultaneously, moving forward. I’m so excited to finally share with you the official launch of MY NEW BLOG!… JessicaCollins.com (link in my bio). We are UP & RUNNING and I can’t wait to meet you! Ignacio Serricchio’s new movie
Actor Ignacio Serricchio has a role in the new blockbuster movie, The Mule, starring Clint Eastwood (Gran Torino, The Bridges of Madison County). The actor, who played Detective Alex Chavez on Y&R from 2012 – 2014, posted a photo from the red carpet of the film’s premiere on his Instagram account, and shared, “At the premiere of our film The Mule. Directed by Clint Eastwood. Out in theaters Friday, December 14th.”
Serricchio plays Julio in the movie, which stars Eastwood as Earl Stone, an elderly WWII veteran who is caught transporting $3 million worth of cocaine through Michigan for a Mexican drug cartel. The star-studded cast also includes Bradley Cooper (A Star is Born), Andy Garcia (The Godfather), Laurence Fishburne (The Matrix), and Dianne Wiest (Hannah and Her Sisters).
