Casting updates for The Young and the Restless.

Young and the Restless is casting recurring roles, dayplayers, and extras (atmosphere) to appear in scenes. Check out’s Young and Restless fall casting calls to see more.

Helpful detective

Actor Mark Taylor, known for the movie Seventeen Again, as well as Cinderella Man and TV’s Insomnia, played Detective North in two episodes of Young and the Restless in February when he assisted Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) by giving him the file in Lola’s attack.

Edgy singer

The Young and the Restless is seeking an actor in the 35 to 38 year age range to play sexy singer ‘Brandon’ in four episodes, according to Daytime Confidential. This rock ‘n’ roll persona has a killer smile, a handsome face, and performs in a band that’s a success on the club circuit.

Sexy and successful guy

Young and the Restless is looking to cast the role of Jeff, a late 20s to early 30s handsome African American. The character is said to be full of energy, has a sense of humor, with a bit of ego thrown in, sexy, driven and successful.

Charming cad

Y&R held auditions for the role of Jeremy, who may be a recast for a returning character. He’s in his 30’s and is charming, but has made enemies. Speculation on this is that he’s Luca or Adam, someone from Ana’s past.

Breaking news in Genoa City

CBS Los Angeles journalist, Suzanne Marques, and Entertainment Tonight host/CNN contributor, Nischelle Turner, have taped episodes of Y&R recently in which Marques plays a reporter and Turner an anchor as news breaks in Wisconsin surrounding a murder (likely that of JT Hellstrom). They will both appear on February 8.

Upscale party people

The Young and the Restless is looking to cast extras in the 25 – 40 year age range with fashionable, red-carpet style wardrobes to appear in the background of a cocktail party scene.

Seeing double

The Young and the Restless is seeking to cast a Caucasian actor who is the same size as a current older male character on the show, 5’11” – 6′, to play a lookalike.
