Young and Restless actress’ latest musical venture.

Update March 22, 2019: Soaps.com can share that Young and the Restless’ Cait Fairbanks (Ginesse) has released a new music video to support her single Noise on YouTube. The video features Ginesse in a series of outfits and wigs singing about the ongoing noise in her head. The lyrics play onscreen so viewers can sing along with her. Check it out below.

On November 5, 2018, Soaps.com learned that Young and Restless actress and singer, Cait Fairbanks, who plays Tessa Porter on the daytime soap, is set to release new music. Unlike her prior efforts, Echoes, which can be found through her official website and on Soundcloud along with her other singles, Hiding Place and Digging My Own Grave, the new music will be released under the name Ginesse, rather than her own name. Fairbanks recently changed her Twitter handle accordingly, and shared a post about her latest venture. She excitedly stated, “I’m releasing music!! The first song comes out November 16th and it will be under the name “Ginesse” and I’m so incredibly nervous. It’s been a while in the making and it’s been such a collaborative process so general thanks to @mrmatiasmora @mia_pants @thecarysinger @MrOfford” Mia Minachello, who was tagged in the tweet, shared it, and enthused, “Y’all I couldn’t be more excited for you to hear this musical baby. It is so so special & you are going to LOVE IT ?????????????”

Fairbanks began performing on stage at the age of 8 and to date has performed in over 20 professional, regional, and community theatre productions, including her appearance in Heathers The Musical at NY’s New World Stages. This is in addition to her acting gigs, which have included Two and Half Men, CSI: NY, and The Middle. The multi-talented singer/songwriter/actress, plays a character who is also a singer/songwriter on Y&R, and is currently one half of Genoa City’s popular couple, Tessa and Mariah, with co-star Camryn Grimes. The storyline has their relationship going well, but Tessa owes money to some threatening people, and is possibly hiding something from her partner that could cause trouble down the road. In an interview on Tessa and Mariah earlier this year, Fairbanks explained, “I think Tessa is attracted to Mariah because of how open she is and her self confidence in who she is.” While Grimes added, “I think Mariah is attracted to Tessa because of her talent … seeing Tessa’s intensity, passion and drive for her music, and the soul and the heart that comes with that is a big draw.”
