Young and Restless alum opens up about fears.

When former Y&R actor, Michael Muhney (Adam Newman) took to Twitter to post a heartfelt message about a child’s medical condition on September 19, it was unclear whether he was referring to one of his own kids. can share that it was the actor’s son, Truman, who has a condition involving his heart valves that Muhney was speaking of, and happily a positive update followed.

Muhney initially posted, “Going through private pain and torment and fear as a parent on behalf of your child’s medical & heart issues is something I don’t wish on anyone. Hug your kids close. Love your loved ones as much as you can. Life is short. Life is so very precious. ❤️”

That post was later followed by some photos of 5 year-old Truman undergoing some tests, and captioned, “Our little guy is a trooper. He’s all heart. ❤️?”

Later, Muhney thanked his followers and fans for their concern, and shared an update after getting the results of the tests, which was encouraging. He said, “So kind to get the love and concern and the stories you’ve been sharing. Tests are in, as of now, the specialists will be keeping an eye on Truman as his heart valves grow, but I feel like we are dodging a bullet and have good cause to be optimistic.?❤️ #HugYourKidsTight”

Prior to the frightening post about his son’s medical issues, Muhney had shared a cute story about the boy, who had cold symptoms last week, and missed being able to kiss his mommy. He shared, “My 5yr old has had the sniffles and a cough for two days. Just heard him mutter to himself, ‘I wish Mommy was sick too’. I walked over to him, ‘Why would you wish that on Mommy?’ He replies, ’So I could kiss her. I miss her kisses’. Also: ?”

The actor also tweeted an adorable photo of his son’s first day at kindergarten, in a photo with his older sister Ella, and gushed, “First day back at school for these two beauties. Look at that little Kindergartener. This is what matters most in the world. All the other noise is just noise. Love those close to you. Be happy to see others happy. Smile. Spread love. Life is short.” was glad to hear the optimistic news about Michael Muhney’s son, Truman, and wish the family the best moving forward.
