Three hot men featured together. has learned that “The Young and the Restless” alum, Justin Hartley, who played Adam Newman from 2014 – 2016, has gone on to make his mark outside of daytime television in more places than one. Of course he plays Kevin Pearson on NBC’s primetime hit, ‘This Is Us,” and now joins his co-stars Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson) and Sterling K. Brown (Randall Pearson) in the distinct honor of appearing in the pages of People’s 2017 Sexiest Man Alive issue. Hartley took to Instagram to share a sneak peek of the photo, which features the trio of actors together, thanked the magazine, and teased, “I’m absolutely positive I won’t get any grief from my friends about this. None at all.” Previously, Hartley was named one of the 12 fittest guys of Fall TV in Men’s Fitness.

Inside their issue of People, the “This Is Us” guys claim they weren’t always as ‘hot’ as they are now. Of his high school years, Hartley reflected, “I do remember feeling like I wish I could physically mature a little faster, fill out. In college it started to happen a little bit more and my confidence started to grow — then I got out to L.A. and that got squashed immediately.” He also remarked on being judged on his appearance, and noted, “There are people who won’t give you the time of day, or think ‘He’s too this’, or ‘He’s too that’, or I’m a certain type because I’m blond.” Sterling K. Brown admitted that in high school he ‘was kind of all that’ and joked, “I was a three-year varsity letterman in football. I did theater. I was student council president. I didn’t sleep at all.” As for Milo Ventimiglia, he remembered being an involved student, but noted, “I like to call myself quiet. I’m definitely not shy … [but] I didn’t need to be noticed.”

People will announce the 2017 Sexiest Man Alive this evening, Tuesday November 14, and shared a peek at the inside pages as part of the countdown.
