Charity will benefit from soap actress’ sale. has learned that veteran “The Young and the Restless” actress Melody Thomas Scott, who plays the formidable Nikki Newman, will be auctioning off some of her personal items in an upcoming sale event on Internet marketplace site, Everything But the House. The actress took to Twitter to announce the sale in a post that promised, “1000’s of my personal items! Every item starts at $1.00! Every possible thing U can imagine, from clothing, shoes, jewelry, to furniture,” and noted that a portion of the proceeds would be given to charity.

Everything But the House, which bills itself as The Premier Estate Sale Marketplace, grew out of the Cincinnati antiques market, and was started by seasoned vintage sellers, Jacquie Denny and Brian Graves. Denny is a businesswoman experienced with live auctions, while Graves was one of her regular customers who became passionate about refurbishing, buying, and selling vintage goods while educating himself on the history of items. They started their business in 2007, and took it online a year later. Brothers and entrepreneurs Andy and Jon Nielsen, and their business partner Mike Reynolds helped to expand the venture globally.

Melody Thomas Scott continues to enthrall the “Y&R” audience with Nikki’s trials and tribulations as she has since 1981, and most recently has found herself caught between Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) once again. The actress often interacts with her fans on social media with personal chats. Previously, Thomas Scott shared a paranormal experience on The Haunting.

Melody Thomas Scott’s online auction begins December 1.
