New family business.

Soaps.com has learned that “The Young and the Restless” alum Steve Burton has launched another new venture, Burton Nutrition Company. The online family business, involves a program to help clients achieve a healthier lifestyle, meet fitness goals, and/or lose weight through its products, fitness and health tips, recipes, and an optional VIP Club that will feature weekly webinars with the extremely fit actor himself. The site offers ‘Get Fit’ protein shakes sweetened with Stevia in chocolate and vanilla flavors, 3 – 1 recipes that show how to incorporate the shakes into meals, and will soon have sections offering Burton Challenges as well as a social community where clients can presumably interact with others, share, and find support in achieving their goals. The actor got his start in daytime playing Harris on “Days of our Lives,” then played “General Hospital’s” Jason Quartermaine from 1991 – 2012, before moving on to “Y&R,” where Burton played Dylan McAvoy from 2013 until January 2017. The character went into the Witness Protection Program and was written off when the Burton elected not to renew his contract. Shortly after his departure from the soap, Burton and GH’s Derk Cheetwood revealed a new venture, Hollywood Schooled, to help young hopefuls break into the acting world. Additionally, while still acting, the busy entrepreneur opened Jack and Jameson’s Smokehouse with GH alum Jonathan Jackson (Lucky), his former co-star who also resides in Nashville, Tennessee.
