Throwback Thursday Y&R Poll: Jack charges Victor with a fire poker
“My son is dead!”
This week Soaps.com is bringing our readers back to 1993 when Jack Abbott tried to attack Victor Newman over the loss of his child on “The Young and the Restless.”
Jack is currently fighting to make his way back to Genoa City in order to stake claim on his life from the imposter Victor hired. Years ago, Jack blamed Victor for the tragic turn his life took after he and Nikki lost their son. Nikki and Jack suffered two miscarriages prior to their third pregnancy. After an argument between Nikki and Victor, she fell down the stairs which resulted in the premature birth of her and Jack’s son, John Abbott III.
Jack vehemently confronted Victor in his office at Newman Enterprises. He expressed over and over again how sorry he was and said, “The last thing I wanted to happen was for me to be responsible for the loss of your child.” Jack refused to accept Victor’s condolences and blamed him for his son’s death. Though Jack walked toward the door to leave, he turned around, grabbed a fire poker and came at Victor, who ended up landing the first punch.
Do you remember how Victor prevented Jack from hitting him with the fire poker? Vote in the poll then leave us your favorite Jack/Victor feud in the comment section. Was it when Jack thought he saw Victor’s ghost?
Was your answer to last week's Throwback correct? Jill and Katherine briefly stopped fighting at the sight of a rat.
Take a look back to 2008 in Soaps.com's Interview with Eric Braeden when he shared his favorite Victor storyline and his outlook on the soap industry by stating, "The top shows will survive."
