The last straw.

In this week’s Throwback Thursday takes readers back to the early 1990s when Nina Webster married David Kimble then shot him five times…

To this day, Nikki keeps on warning Nick not to trust Sharon. Many years ago Nina should have listened to her friends’ warnings and not trusted David Kimble. Nina had fallen so hard for David that she ignored those who warned her to stay away from him. The two eloped, and David plotted to steal Nina’s Chancellor inheritance.

David pretended to run a successful company that Nina had set up for him and didn’t think twice about having an affair with Diane Westin. Once David realized that he couldn’t get his hands on Nina’s money, due to it being in a trust for her son, he pleaded with her to allow him to adopt Phillip. It took a lot of convincing, but Jill and Katherine managed to get Nina not to agree to it.

Diane later discovered that David had murdered his first wife. Cricket realized this as well and told Nina the truth. Nina admitted that Diane had told her – and that wasn’t all that Nina found out… Once she learned what David planned to do next, Nina snapped and shot him five times. David survived, and though Nina had been arrested for attempted murder she was found not guilty by a jury.
