Congratulations!

“The Young and the Restless” garnered 20 nominations for the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards coming up on June 19. Soaps.com would like to congratulate everyone at “Y&R” on a job well done – let’s take a look at the nominations:

Outstanding Drama Series
The show received this nomination based on the scenes filmed on location in New Orleans. Episode #9535 was submitted, which aired on November 29, 2010.

Six actors from the show received nominations in the following categories:

Outstanding Lead Actor:
Christian LeBlanc was nominated for his portrayal of Michael Baldwin, who had his hands full in 2010 dealing with the drugging and kidnapping of his wife, Lauren (Tracy Bregman), and her fear after the fact.

Outstanding Lead Actress:
Michelle Stafford got the nod in this category for her portrayal of Phyllis Newman, whose marriage to Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) fell apart again last year.

Outstanding Supporting Actor:
Billy Miller was nominated for his portrayal of Billy Abbott, who matured and grew into his relationship with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). Doug Davidson was also nominated in this category. He gave intense performances as his alter-ego Paul Williams dealt with sister Patty (Stacy Haiduk) switching identities with Dr. Emily Peterson (Stacy Haiduk).
