The Young and the Restless fans, start your engines! The celebrity portion of the 2011 “Fueled by Fame” Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race has been announced – and two of your favorite soap opera actors are in the running.
Both Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) and Eddie Cibrian (ex-Matt Clark) will be racing for charity in this year’s race.
Daniel and Eddie will be racing along the downtown streets of Long Beach in South California in Scion tCs cars. Among the other stars competing for charity are Kevin Jonas, Megyn Price, Jillian Reynolds, Tyson Beckford and Dennis Haysbert.
Toyota will donate $5,000 to Racing for Kids on behalf of every driver, and another $5,000 will be donated to the charity of choice for the winning racer. Racing for Kids benefits children’s hospitals throughout the United States; to date Toyota has donated more than $1.9 million because of this race.
This year another $15,000 donation will be made for the “People Pole Award” – this donation is given to honor the pole-position winner of the 10-lap, 1.97 million street race.
Twenty celeb and professional race car drivers are expected to turn out for the 35th annual race. The Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race is the longest-running and most prestigious celebrity race. Engines will roar on April 16, 2011.

Good luck to Daniel and Eddie!
