has learned that the ever-productive Victoria Rowell (ex-Drucilla) has got some new projects in the works! Victoria has been going like the Energizer Bunny since she left The Young and the Restless, most recently traveling around the United States stumping for Presidential-hopeful Hillary Clinton, and now turning up in India to research material for her new book!

Hot on the heels of the Y&R star’s New York Times best-selling first book, “The Women Who Raised Me: A Memoir”, based on the story of growing up in foster care, will be her second effort, entitled “Secrets of a Daytime Diva”. A large part of this new book will be set in India where Victoria is visiting to get an inside glimpse into the lives of Bollywood divas Rekha and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Rowell has reportedly told Indian that she feels Bollywood has huge universal appeal. She notes, in particular, the dance and musical elements and the true-to-life character portrayal. She said she is attempting to study the lives and mannerisms of the actors who have such great influence over the medium, for use in her book. Victoria is immersing herself in Bollywood films while in India, and narrowly missed being able to attend an actual film shoot in Delhi, when her group couldn’t get there before they wrapped. She has expressed interest in perhaps shooting a film herself in India at some point in the future.

Back on American soil, Victoria already has a new film in the works. She finished shooting “Of Boys and Men” with Angela Bassett and Faizon Love late in 2007, and is reportedly set to star opposite Samuel L. Jackson in “Home of the Brave” next!

The Young and the Restless fans miss Drucilla (and Victoria), wishing every day on message boards and in letters for her return. agrees that she is a fine actress and woman, and though she may not be on daytime as Dru, she is still wearing many hats, political activist, spokesperson, author and actress, and we wish her the very best of luck in all of her endeavors!
