is excited to tell long-time The Young and the Restless fans that former daytime star, Eva Longoria, who played the psychotic Isabella Brana Williams from 2001 – 2003, has a new film arriving in theaters this week!

For those who can’t remember Isabella, the abbreviated version is that she had a relationship with Paul Williams (Doug Davidson), and was crazy jealous of his ex-wife, Christine (Lauralee Bell). Isabella and Paul had a son together, but he began to gravitate toward Christine again, so Isabella tried to kill her! Isabella left town with Ricky, her son, who now lives with his grandparents (Isabella’s parents) in California.

Eva was born in Corpus Christi, Texas, and The Young and the Restless was her first big acting break. Of course her second big break came in 2004, when she became a member of the cast of the wildly popular “Desperate Housewives”. She remains with that cast today as Gabrielle, but the show has been on hiatus due to the writer’s strike.

Some daytime fans may recall that Eva was married to General Hospital actor, Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) from January 2002 to January 2004. Today, however, she is happily married to San Antonio Spurs point guard Tony Parker and is credited as Eva Longoria Parker.

Eva’s new film is called “Over Her Dead Body” in which she plays a dead woman who is trying to sabotage her fiance’s new relationship. The role, Kate, is said to be a troublemaker in the same vein of Gabrielle, her “Desperate Housewives” character. Eva reportedly had a lot of fun making the movie and playing the campy villainess! Eva is currently filming “Lower Learning” with “American Pie” actor Jason Biggs, in which she will play the lead role of Rebecca.

As much as would enjoy seeing Isabella and Ricky return to Y&R and stir up things in Paul’s life, Eva Longoria is renowned for her determination to pursue film roles at this point. We wish her all the best and can’t wait to see her lead role debut on the big screen!
