Young & Restless’ Devon Is About to Get the Family Reunion He Never Asked For

Few folks were as surprised as The Young and the Restless‘ Devon when his dad Tucker made his big return to Genoa City last fall. But once Tucker bulldozed his way back to Genoa City determined to win Ashley back (and connect with Devon and Dominic, we guess), it didn’t take long to start wondering if we’d soon see Devon’s mom, Harmony, again too. After all, the last time Tucker had been in Genoa City, Devon’s parents had reconnected for the first time since he was conceived.

Luckily, we didn’t have to wonder long as The Young and the Restless confirms that that Chene’ Lawson will be returning to play Devon’s biological mom, Harmony for “several episodes” starting on Friday, May 5. Though All My Children vet Debbi Morgan was last seen in the role back in 2012, Lawson originated Harmony (then known as Yolanda) back in 2005 and 2006.

Back then, Devon’s mom was still trying to beat her drug addiction, something she’d managed to overcome by the time Morgan brought her back to Genoa City in 2011. She stuck around for about a year before leaving suddenly to take care of Devon’s half-sister, Ana. It was a surprise exit, seeing as how she and Neil had begun heating up and she’d had finally gotten to a decent place with Devon.

With that said, Devon’s been doing just fine for himself in his parents’ absence, and Harmony didn’t exactly return to be there for her son when Neil passed away. Whether Harmony’s return is any smoother than Tucker’s has been remains to be seen, but it looks like Devon will finally have both his parents back in Genoa City for the first time in over a decade.

Hopefully, they can all still get along. After butting heads with Lily, more family drama is the last thing he needs!
