Back in March, we passed along the exciting news that fan favorite Shemar Moore would be making a special return to The Young and the Restless as Malcolm Winters. Our sister site, Deadline, learned exclusively that the S.W.A.T. actor would join the cast to continue to celebrate the CBS soap’s 50th anniversary, which was on Sunday, March 26.

So, when will we get to see Malcolm back in Genoa City? As we reported previously, viewers can expect to see him for one day, on Monday, May 8, when Malcolm comes home to reunite with bio-daughter Lily and nephews Devon and Nate, as the family holds a memorial for Neil — and we have a sneak peek video.

In the scene, Malcom arrives home and is greeted by Lily, Nate, Devon and his mom Harmony. Upon seeing the photo of his brother on the wall, Malcolm states, “You all know me… When it came to the great Neil Winters, I show up, whatever it takes.” Watch how the heartwarming moment unfolds here.

Moore created the role in 1994 and though Darius McCrary took over from 2009-2011, he has returned numerous times over the years, the last time having been in 2019 when the show aired special tribute episodes to honor his late castmate and onscreen brother Kristoff St. John, who played the beloved Neil Winters.
