Young & Restless’ Michelle Stafford Sets Off a Fan Frenzy by Teasing Another 50th Anniversary Return
It would appear that The Young and the Restless has a reunion in store for Michelle Stafford. Without revealing the identity of its sender, the Emmy winner shared a message that she’d received. It read: “Dearest Michelle, hoping all is wonderful with you and the family! So thrilled to see you soon and work with you again!”
“Me, too!” Stafford replies. “I’m so excited!”

So are viewers of the soap. “Hmm… who could this be?” Phyllis’ portrayer teased. And immediately, her Instagram followers began offering up guesses. Immediately coming to mind was her on-screen son, Michael Graziadei (Daniel). But he’s already back taping, and Stafford herself confirmed that the note wasn’t from him.

Another fan suggested that it could be Kimberlin Brown (Sheila), who’s currently raising hell over on The Bold and the Beautiful. The villainess did infamously have Phyllis’ face for a while. Shemar Moore (ex-Malcolm) was another popular notion. Though, as one viewer pointed out, that was unlikely since “there was no ‘baby girl’ in that text” (and the hunk is prone to saying that).
“I hope it’s Daniel’s dad, Danny!” wrote still another Stafford follower. “If it is, I’ll be so excited. Michael Damian is the reason I started watching Young & Restless.”
We have a hunch that she’s right. With Daniel being back in Genoa City, it would make sense if Pop followed — especially since the show is celebrating its 50th anniversary. And although Danny’s relationship with Phyllis was rocky at best — how could it not be when it began with her drugging him, making him think that they’d hooked up and ruining his marriage to Christine? — years have past. Maybe he could actually offer Jack some competition for Red?
