There’s More to Young & Restless ‘Exits’ Than Meets the Eye

As The Young and the Restless shipped off Faith to college this week, viewers did not hold back their feelings. They took to social media in droves to cry foul over the fact that the Nick and Sharon’s daughter had been recast with Reylynn Caster after Alyvia Alyn Lind left to star in the Chucky series, then given next to no storyline with love interest Moses and finally shown the door.
Worse, the audience noted, Jacob Aaron Gaines didn’t even get goodbye scenes, never mind ones with his on-screen love interest, when Moses was sent packing — and he’s the son of the late, great Neil Winters!
This scene of Moses with his family before he left to college really got to me 🤧 #YR pic.twitter.com/sDZrOXnBtR

But it would appear that the characters’ change of address doesn’t necessarily mean a change of status with the show. Soaps.com hears that since both of the kids are technically recurring, they could still appear at any time. If or when they do, if the powers that be are struggling to figure out how to write for the “young” among The Young and the Restless, their viewers have some pretty terrific ideas. (Read them here.)

All dressed up with… Oh. We guess they did have someplace to go!

In fact, one tweet may have just telegraphed the plot twist that will turn both Faith and Moses’ lives upside. It’s phrased as a joke, but c’mon. You can totally see that happening, right?
