Young & Restless Taps One Life to Live Leading Man for Top-Secret Role

A very familiar daytime face is on his way to Genoa City shortly, as we’ve just received word from our sister site, Deadline, that Trevor St. John is joining The Young and the Restless! The actor is best known to soap fans, of course, for his decade of playing Todd Manning (at least until we learned he was actually Todd’s brain-scrambled, plastic surgery altered twin brother, Victor) over on One Life to Live.
Though he hasn’t been back to daytime since the ABC sudser went off the air (and briefly moved online) back in 2013, St. John has been working non-stop since then and was most recently a series regular on the first two seasons of the CW’s Roswell, New Mexico.
According to Deadline, St. John is set to begin taping this month, with his first appearances coming in the fall. Details are scarce on what his role may entail (and by scarce, we mean nonexistent), nor is it clear for how long he’ll be appearing.
Young & Restless‘ official Twitter account was quick to repost the Deadline story and offer an official welcome to the actor.

The question now, is who could he be playing? Is he bringing an established character back or charting entirely new territory? There’s certainly no end of potential pairings for him on the canvas right now.
Victoria’s free from Ashland, Sharon’s in need of a Rey rebound, Chelsea could use someone to distract her from Billy, and Phyllis just needs to move on from Jack with someone who accepts her for who she is! Or maybe, he could be someone from Diane’s pre-resurrection past with just the dirt Phyllis, Nikki and Ashley need.
Whoever he’s playing, we are eagerly waiting for more news, and as soon as we hear something, we’ll let viewers know!
You’ll likely agree that Genoa City could use some fresh blood after checking out our photo gallery of all the Young & Restless‘ recent exits.
