We didn’t even want to think about the possibility of Joshua Morrow leaving The Young and the Restless. But when spoilers for next week revealed that Nick will be contemplating a change of scenery, we couldn’t help but get worried. Could the actor be leaving the show, and his character, Genoa City?

After “Phick” broke up, Phyllis gravitated back toward Jack, and Nick toward… TBD.

Back in 2018, Morrow admitted to Michael Fairman TV that as he approached his 25th anniversary as Sharon and Phyllis’ mutual ex, “I was thinking, ‘I am done… I just don’t think I can do it anymore. It’s been a great run. I’ve said everything I can say.’”

Luckily, the storyline in which Nick masqueraded as J.T. put the pep back in the fan favorite’s step, and as you’re well aware, Morrow has stuck around, knocking it outta the ballpark every time he steps up to the plate. In 2021, he told Soaps in Depth that “never for a second do I wish I would be doing something other than Young & Restless… I have never second-guessed my decision to stay [or] thought, ‘I don’t want to be here right now.’”

So maybe the spoiler isn’t a warning that Genoa City will soon be missing Nick? Thankfully, a show source indicates that not only is Morrow staying put, but there’s plenty of storyline down the road for Victor and Nikki’s son.
