The Young and the RestlessComings & Goings

Roxanne Hart cast as Kim Dunaway YR

Get ready for some big drama, fans, as Roxanne Hart makes her way to The Young and the Restless in the recurring role of Kim Dunaway. As first reported by Soap Opera Digest, the actress will hold the key to a mystery that unfolds in Genoa City and will first appear on Thursday, November 18.

Hart is most recognizable for playing Nurse Camille Shutt on Chicago Hope, as pictured above, and landed her first role in 1980 as Isadora on One Life to Live. Over the years she has appeared in numerous primetime hits and films and most recently turned up as Estelle on The Resident.

So, what big mystery will her character hold the key to? Though details involving her storyline arc remain hush-hush, we can surely speculate a bit on what’s been going on as of late…

Will she hold the key to something deeper involving Ashland and all of the secrets that have come to light surrounding the dying business tycoon as of late? Maybe she’s a long-lost relative or could she have something to do with Camilla Rhodes and her will? Then there’s Gaines… could Kim be his friend — or foe — and will she have information, whether good or bad, that could finally put the mess involving Ashland to rest once and for all?

On the flipside, maybe she knows something about Chance? Even though he’s been presumed dead, we all know better given that the character has been recast with Conner Floyd. Maybe Chance has amnesia and Kim is the one to somehow connect him with Genoa City and bring Abby’s husband home.

Or, since this is Genoa City we are talking about, she could be involved in a brand new mystery that is set to kick off in town. Whatever the case, we can’t wait to see how it all unfolds.

Until then, and given the current major recast on Young & Restless, now is the perfect time to look at our photo gallery of soaps’ most recast characters.
