Zachary Tinker was born in New York City and moved to Los Angeles at the age of three. He began acting in elementary school and later became a theater major at Loyola Marymount University. His first television role was playing Spether in an episode of Murder in the First in 2015. He landed on several other films, shorts, and TV series, including Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders, in which he played Craig Cignarelli, before being recast as Fenmore Baldwin on Young and the Restless in 2018.

Tinker is both athletic and musical; he plays the drums and has been featured singing on Y&R.
