Peter Bregman was born in 1953 in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Since his father was in the U.S. Navy, the family moved quite a bit before he was out of elementary school. Peter attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.

Peter got his start in Daytime television by landing the role of Dr. Cliff Warner on All My Children, which he played for nine years, before moving into the role of Jack Abbott on The Young and the Restless.

When Peter isn't acting, you can usually catch him coaching his children's sporting teams and playing the piano. He is passionate about contemporary music and has studied since the age of 20.

Peter also supports several charities by donating his time. He and his wife, Mariellen, reside in Los Angeles with their two children, Connor and Clare.
