At home Nick looks out the window with a drink and thinks back to Brooke signing the company over to him. Donna approaches asks him if there is anything she can do to help. When she starts to leave he asks her to stay. Donna tells him I think we've both been fighting a losing battle. She tells him she's thinking about leaving town, but she is willing to help him in whatever capacity he needs her in at Forrester since Brooke has left him and Jackie is still ill, Just say the word and I'm in! Donna tells him that Forrester can succeed with him at its helm. Nick responds, You're right! At Forrester, Stephanie yells at Eric for selling their company, she asks him what kind of man would sell their company without a fight and he responds, A man who loves his wife, and doesn't want to see his wife go to prison. When Eric asks for some thanks from Stephanie she say You want gratitude from me, for selling this company without asking me. I'm never going to forgive you for this. Never, as long as I can draw breath!

Eric tells her, I sacrificed this entire company for you, a company I've spent my life building, because God help me I still love you! All you can do is come in here and crucify me. Eric tells Stephanie that she can't even be intimate with him, and that's the real problem. You know what I want Stephanie? I want to look in your eyes and see love, instead of disappointment. I want to know your heart, as well as I know mine. I want you to let me in. Something keeps you from letting me in and I don't know what it is. The real tragedy is, I don't think you know what it is either, or care. I'm not a bad man Stephanie," he goes on to say. "I've worked very hard at this marriage, I've tried to be a good father, and a good husband, and I've failed, but I can look in the mirror every morning and not hate the man I see, but you can't can you? Stephanie responds, I love you, I do love you! When Eric asks her why she doesn't show it she introspectively responds, I don't know! Eric starts to leave and Stephanie tells him that she knows their marriage lacks intimacy because of her, but she doesn't know why. I don't want to lose you. God knows who else would have me. I've abused your love, and I don't know why. Thank you for selling the company! Eric leaves, and Stephanie calls Taylor and leaves a message, telling Taylor that she needs to talk to her as a professional, I need a real good Psychiatrist!
