Deacon Makes a Huge Announcement — and Brooke Screams a Warning at Sheila

At Bill’s place, he tells Brooke that everything she’s saying is absolutely right. Brooke places her hand on his chest and tells him that he’s a good man and Sheila will just drag him down into her darkness. Her proximity seems to get to him.

At Il Giardino, Paul brings Deacon a cup of coffee. He removes his eyeglasses and takes a break from paperwork. Hope comes in and Deacon announces that he’s the new proprietor. “Welcome to Deacon Sharpe’s Il Giardino!” Hope gawps and grins, “What?!?”

Deacon explains that he knew the previous owner wanted out and he scraped together a down payment. He feels he’s found his niche after all these years and reveals a big part of it was wanting to make her proud. She tells him she is. Talk turns to Sheila. Deacon recaps that she’s in prison and will probably be behind bars for the rest of her life.

At Bill’s place, Sheila butts in between him and Brooke. She meant what she said — she loves him. She’ll walk away but it has to be his decision, not Brooke’s.

At Il Giardino, Deacon is stunned that Hope’s told him Sheila is free and living with Bill. He marvels, “Bill hates Sheila!” Hope says something in Bill has changed. Deacon can’t wrap his mind around this. Hope reveals he has burned pretty much every bridge, which may have made him vulnerable to Sheila. Deacon still can’t understand them working together. Hope explains it’s not like that. “Bill and Sheila are together.” Deacon swallows and looks dismayed.

At Bill’s place, Brooke informs Sheila that deep down this isn’t what he wants. She recaps Sheila’s crimes. Sheila pleads with Bill not to let her come between them. Brooke snaps, “There is no us.” She begs Bill to listen to her. “You have to trust me,” she implores. Bill repeats, “You’re right, Brooke. Everything you’re saying is right.” He can’t argue with any of it — Sheila being there doesn’t make sense… but it’s what he wants. “It’s what I need.” Brooke’s jaw drops.

At Il Giardino, Deacon can’t believe Bill and Sheila are an item. Hope says numerous people have confirmed it, including Liam and Wyatt. She adds, “It gets worse.” Deacon doesn’t see how it could. Hope says, “They claim to love each other.” Deacon stammers, “Love? How is this even possible?” He wonders when this started and how this even happened. “How long has it been going on?” Hope doesn’t know but they’re all very concerned about Bill. Deacon asks if she thinks Sheila is just using Bill. Hope replies, “Of course,” since Sheila isn’t capable of love. “What kind of person would have real feelings for Sheila Carter.” Deacon looks down at the ground.

At Bill’s place, Brooke rants about the danger Sheila presents to everyone in their families. She exclaims that Sheila is using him. Sheila snaps, “That is enough!” She insists Bill can’t be manipulated by her or Brooke. As she goes on, Brooke screams, “Shut up! Just shut up and let Bill speak for once!” Sheila intones, “He wants me to speak for him.” For the first time he has someone who understands and appreciates him. “Something you and your sister could never do.” Brooke mocks Bill for thinking this is love and urges him to open his eyes. “She’s a danger to everybody!” Sheila wonders why Bill would listen to anything she has to say about love. She runs down Brooke’s history and tells her they’re all sick. She seethes that Taylor almost killed the man she claims to love. The hypocrisy sickens her. She knows Brooke can’t stand that Bill loves her. “You just better learn to accept it.” Brooke narrows her eyes.

At Il Giardino, Deacon is still trying to wrap his head around Bill and Sheila being in a relationship. Hope muses that he’s gone into a pretty dark spiral to think he has feelings for her after everything she has done. She apologizes for not celebrating his success. Deacon is glad she got him caught up and invites her for dinner later. Hope accepts and heads out. She warns her dad if Sheila calls him to hang up the phone. Deacon knows how to handle Sheila. Once alone, he flashes to Carter on Halloween, telling him she’s a survivor and the best is yet to come. “You have not seen the last of Sheila Carter.” Deacon pours a shot of whiskey and toasts. “You did it, Sheila. You really did it.”

At Bill’s place, Sheila thinks the blonde needs to leave since she’s upsetting him. Brooke ask if Bill will really let him kick her out of his home and speak for him. “My God, Bill! Do you have anything to say for yourself?!?” Bill cries that there’s a deep, painful emptiness inside of him. His family means everything to him. “You mean everything to me.” He put his heart on the line over and over for Brooke and Katie and they trampled on it. “You walked out on me. You and Katie, you abandoned me… and that hurt. I have feelings, but I have needs.” Brooke gawps, “This is what you need? Sheila?!” Bill nods, “Yes. Sheila is what I need.” Sheila tells Brooke she understands Bill, supports him, and loves him. Brooke cries and can’t believe this is happening. “You know what, Bill. I’m not going to stop until I’m able to get through to you. Mark my words.” She informs Sheila she won’t stop until she’s behind bars rotting in prison where she belongs. “You hear me, Sheila?! Rotting in prison!” she screams as she walks out. Sheila embraces Bill and smirks.
