Sheila Makes Her Getaway as Steffy’s Immobilized — and Deacon Panics
Monday, December 12, 2022: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon panics as Finn asks for help, Hope frets about Steffy and Finn's news, and Sheila vows she'll never be caught.
At Il Giardino, near the powder room, Steffy is shocked to come face-to-face with Sheila.
Out in the restaurant, Finn spots Deacon behind the bar and approaches him to ask how he is. Deacon is having trouble concentrating and asks if Finn really thinks Sheila is alive and out there somewhere. Finn says yes, but the question is where? He asks if Deacon is sure he hasn’t seen her. “You have no idea where she is?”
At Forrester, Liam gives Hope a hug after the bomb that was dropped on them. Hope will need about a million more hugs to put Sheila out of her mind. Liam finds it insane that she may actually be alive. Hope rants about her being out there and having faked her death, and Liam pulls her into another hug. She sighs, “That does help.” They go over how unthinkable it is as Liam massages Hope’s shoulders. He complains they were never supposed to have to think about Sheila again. Hope points out if was just a theory, but Liam reminds her of the proof regarding the toe. “It wasn’t bitten off.” He doesn’t think Finn would be sounding the alarm if he wasn’t certain.
At Il Giardino, Deacon promises Finn if Sheila is alive, he has no idea where she is. They go over her faking a bear mauling. Finn goes over his findings regarding the toe and declares he needs to find out where she’s been hiding out. “Where is Sheila?”
Near the restrooms, Sheila makes a getaway as Steffy is rocked by flashbacks to the shooting and incapacitated.
At the bar, Deacon tells Finn that Sheila could be halfway across the country… or the world. Finn keeps looking for Steffy and decides to go check on her. Once alone, Deacon agonizes.
Finn finds Steffy near the powder room and she tells him she saw Sheila. She stammers about the toe and says they have to go after her… now! Finn follows his wife.
At Forrester Creations, Hope asks Liam, “What if it’s true? What if Sheila is alive?” They hug again. They hate to go back in living in fear. Liam feels it’s better that they know than continuing to think she’s dead and being caught completely off guard. Hope hopes Finn and Steffy are wrong.
In Il Giardino, Deacon hears Steffy telling Finn they need to call the police. She explains to Deacon that she just saw Sheila near the bathroom. They go over it being the toe on the right foot. Deacon insists she would have recognized her. Steffy explains she was in some sort of disguise, and she took off out the back. Finn thinks it must have been her as that explains why she took off. Deacon looks grim and Steffy shudders as she intones, “I just ran into Sheila Carter.”
Finn gets on the phone with the authorities and reports back that Baker is going to look into it. Deacon knocks back shots and complains that the police are looking for a dead woman. He doubts she’d come back there, but Steffy argues she has a pretty good disguise. Finn wonders if she was there to see Deacon. He can’t believe she’d be as dumb as that. Steffy feels it can’t be a coincidence. Finn says there’s one way to know for sure. He asks Deacon to get the security footage. Deacon tells them he’ll go review it upstairs. Finn wants to come with him, but Deacon urges him to stay there and wait for Baker. On his way, upstairs, Deacon flashes to saying goodbye to Sheila. At the bar, Steffy tells Finn they need to put Sheila behind bars where she belongs.
In a room, Sheila curses herself for being so stupid as to wear sandals. She slowly removes the disguise and watches herself in the mirror. After a lot of thinking, Sheila suddenly smiles and laughs to herself.
Brushing her hair, Sheila flashes to her run in with Steffy. Her cellphone rings and she gets a text from Deacon urging her to pick up. He rants, “How the hell did you let Steffy run into you.” Sheila argues that she had it handled beautifully until she started wiping her up like a toddler. Deacon rails that the police are on their way. Sheila urges him to deny everything. He asks what she’ll do if she gets caught. Sheila vows they won’t catch her. “Don’t worry, Deacon. I’m off to, ah,…” Deacon asks where she’s off to, but she hangs up.
At the restaurant, Finn is sorry for what he’s put Steffy through because of Sheila. She assures him it’s not his fault. Finn wishes he’d listened to her when she showed up on their wedding day. “You know what she was capable of, and I should have trusted you.” It all could have been avoided. Steffy reminds him he escaped and found her. They flashback to their reunion in Monte Carlo. She assures Finn they’ll continue fighting and will find Sheila and make sure she’s arrested. Steffy tells her husband to stop blaming himself. “None of this is your fault.” Finn vows they’ll track her down and make her pay for everything. They embrace.
In her room, Sheila puts on lip liner in the mirror, and gets a sinister look on her face.
Next on The Bold and the Beautiful: Deacon races against time to do one more dirty deed for Sheila, Hope encourages her mother to leave her heart open to love, and Sheila goes on the run.
