Taylor Faces a Moment of Truth at the Altar — And Stephen Surprises Brooke, Donna, and Katie

In Douglas’ bedroom, Taylor doesn’t understand what’s going on, but nothing is going to ruin this day. Thomas assures her that he and Steffy will worry about their little thing and she can focus on her special day. Steffy snaps, “Nice try, Thomas, but mom needs to know what you’ve done.” Taylor looks disappointed and concerned.

In the Forrester living room, Li tells Ridge and the others that Douglas still seemed a little subdued. Ridge says it’s not like him. Finn offers to go check on him, and Eric thinks he’s probably just overwhelmed. Li notes it’s a big day — especially for Ridge. He looks pensive.

At Brooke’s place, Donna and Katie assure Brooke that they’ll get through this awful day together and tell her how much they love her. A knock comes at the door and Brooke frowns — she wasn’t expecting anybody. She walks over, opens it, and exclaims, “Dad!” Stephen, with his girlfriend Lucy, gives her a big squeeze as Donna and Katie gawp in happy surprise.

Stephen and Lucy hug Donna and Katie, who enthuse about how nice it is to finally meet the girlfriend face-to-face. Lucy explains they were passing through and Stephen wanted to make their visit a surprise. They gush about Hope’s fashion preview and Lucy says the Forresters and Logans are an unstoppable team. The girls’ faces fall and Stephen asks them to bring him up to speed. Brooke reveals that Ridge is marrying Taylor today.

At the Forrester Estate, Ridge thanks Carter for agreeing to officiate and Li supposes the wedding will start soon. Eric muses, “Not without a bride…”

Upstairs, Thomas and Steffy squabble as he urges her to let it go and let their mom and dad be happy. Steffy blurts, “Brooke never called child protective services on Thomas like dad thinks!” Taylor’s stunned.

At Brooke’s place, she tells Stephen that she doesn’t trust Thomas, who’s made no secret of how he feels about her, and that he wants her out of Ridge’s life. “And here we are!” Stephen feels that Ridge should have given her the benefit of the doubt and told her what was going on before running back to Taylor, “I mean, what the hell?” He wishes he could do more to help. Brooke assures him that just being there and being supportive is enough. They embrace and express their love.

At the Forrester mansion, Carter notices Ridge looking out the window. He tells him he wants him to be happy. Ridge snaps, “I am.” Carter accepts this and assures him he’s there to support and facilitate. They rejoin the others who wonder what’s holding up Taylor. Li says she was almost ready when she saw her. Carter figures emotions are running high for her, Steffy, and Thomas.

Upstairs, Steffy won’t let her parents get married without knowing the truth. She knows they love each other but Brooke didn’t make that call to CPS. Thomas tells Steffy this is a bad idea. Steffy explains to Taylor that Douglas has a voice-changing app on his phone and plays part of the Brooke call for her. She then plays the call again in Thomas’ voice. He tells his mother it’s not what it seems. Taylor exclaims, “Tell me now!” Thomas says fine, “I called CPS.” Taylor gasps, “Oh my God!” Thomas argues it doesn’t matter — look where they are now. He got the job done and Brooke is gone and out of their lives. Their mom is about to marry their dad. Steffy protests that they can’t base their marriage on a lie. “Dad needs to know the truth!”

At Brooke’s place, they all try to comprehend that Ridge is marrying Taylor again. Stephen wonders what could have happened to make Ridge shut down on her like that. Brooke doesn’t know but more and more she thinks Thomas had something to do with it. Donna explains that he doesn’t even try to hide his disdain for Brooke. Katie adds it’s been a relentless campaign from Steffy and Thomas, though Steffy has lines she won’t cross… Thomas, not so much. Brooke marvels that somehow Thomas came between Ridge and her, and now he’s minutes away from marrying another woman.

In the Forrester living room, Finn reports that Steffy, Thomas, and Taylor are all in a room together. He didn’t want to knock. Ridge shrugs, “Let them have their moment.”

In the room upstairs, Steffy tells her mother she wants her to marry Ridge, but not to start their lives together based on lie. Taylor paces and breathes rapidly as Steffy hollers that Ridge thinks Brooke called CPS and that’s a lie. She points at Thomas, “It was you!” Thomas wonders why she’s so determined to blow this up. She’s wanted their parents together for years and should be thanking him! Taylor explodes, “Thanking you?!? Thomas, do you realize what you’ve done? Why, why did you do this?!? What is wrong with you? You manipulated this entire situation. I thought you had changed!”

Thomas has changed; he just did this for their family. Brooke has blown up and destroyed their family for years and he’s sick of it. He sees the look Taylor gives Steffy and is sorry if he let her down, but Ridge said he wanted to be with her because he loves her, not because of anything Brooke did. “So go downstairs and marry the man.” Steffy agrees to an extent but they can’t get married like this. “Mom, you have to say something.” Taylor rails, “Oh my God, Thomas, I can’t even look at you! Why did you do this?!?” Steffy doesn’t care for Brooke but what Thomas did to her was wrong — Taylor has to tell Ridge. Taylor wants to believe he’s not with her because of something Brooke did. Steffy reiterates that he has to know. Thomas tells his mother that if she tells his dad, his entire relationship with him will be ruined. Taylor exclaims that he should have thought about that before he did this! Steffy and Thomas take turns telling Taylor what she should do until the wedding music starts. Taylor panics, “What am I going to do?!?” She asks for a minute. Thomas tells her, “Just do it. Go and get married.” Steffy says, “Not until you tell dad first.” Once alone, Taylor exhales and agonizes.

At Brooke’s place, she muses that Ridge is probably saying vows to Taylor as they speak. “What is going on?”

In the Forrester living room, everyone awaits the bride. Steffy and Thomas appear and Ridge asks if there’s a problem he should know about. Thomas says they were just talking to mom about how much this day means to their family. Douglas and Steffy exchange a look and she nods at him. On her way to the altar, she passes the boy back his phone.

The wedding march begins, and Taylor makes her way down the stairs holding her bouquet. She looks at Steffy and then Thomas and Ridge tilts his head, sensing something is off. Taylor walks up the aisle looking emotional and joins Ridge, who asks, “You okay?”
