Monday, August 1, 2022: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Taylor and Ridge join Finn in his search for Steffy, a mysterious French woman provides guidance, and Deacon panics when Baker comes looking for Sheila.

In Monaco, Finn rushes down the steps to a woman he believes to be Steffy, but the woman isn’t her and is quickly joined by her protective boyfriend and ushered away.

In their hotel suite, Taylor and Ridge enthuse about Finn being reunited with the kids — the whole thing is like a dream. Ridge takes a call from Deputy Chief Baker, who surprises him by saying he knows that Finn is alive. He’s got some bad news about Sheila Carter. “She’s gotten away again.” Ridge next takes a call from Finn, who still hasn’t found Steffy. They offer to come and join him to search.
Back in Los Angeles, in Deacon’s tiny room, he ignores persistent knocks on the door, assuming it’s Paul wanting him to cover another shift. When he runs out of patience, he strides over and opens the door… and is stunned to see Sheila!
Deacon blurts, “Oh hell no, not today. No way!” Sheila barges past him and complains, “I need help.” She pleads with him to just give her a minute. “Please don’t turn me in, I’ve got nowhere to go.”
In Monte Carlo, Steffy stands, feeling emotional, at the outlook by the water.
Elsewhere, Finn stares at his phone in frustration until Taylor and Ridge arrive with Flavia, Steffy’s therapist. The woman hugs Finn and then explains that Steffy’s been taking very long walks for her deep depression. They split up to search.

In Deacon’s room, Sheila vows to do whatever it takes to avoid going back to prison. Deacon feels that’s the attitude that keeps getting her into trouble. She complains about Steffy and Deacon reminds her she’s not the victim here! He wants to know what happened in the alley that night and guesses she shot Steffy to shut her up. Sheila protests that she had no choice at that point — it was either that or she was going away for the rest of her life. Deacon marvels, “She has two little kids, and you were okay with taking away their mother… taking both of their parents away?!” Nothing will change the fact that she killed her own son. Sheila reveals that she didn’t. “That’s the beauty of this, Deacon. My son is alive.” Deacon stares as she lets out a crazed laugh.
In Monaco, Finn searches the square for Steffy, to no avail.

Now sitting on a stone bench, Steffy flashes through her romantic past with Finn. A French woman, (played by Days alum Ayda Field), stops and asks her if she’s okay or if there’s anything she can do to help. Steffy says no one can help her, but the woman touches her hand and says, “Maybe there is.” She walks off and Steffy turns her head as the church bell sounds loudly.
At Deacon’s place, he marvels at the story Sheila is in the middle of telling him about her and Li protecting Finn. He figures the guy’s mother was protecting him from Sheila, who insists they were both taking care of him. Deacon finds this extraordinary. Sheila explains what a huge relief it was to discover her son was alive. Deacon can’t believe Li brought him back to life and wonders if anyone has told Steffy. Sheila says he’s possibly being reunited with him right now. Deacon asks where this leaves her. Sheila would love to be in their lives, but that’s not going to happen — she’s a fugitive. Deacon warns she shouldn’t have come there — he’s on probation. Sheila tells Deacon he’s all she’s got. “I need your help.”
In Monaco, Ridge tells Taylor, “It’s not that big a place,” as they split up to keep searching. Taylor approaches a woman who is not her daughter and Ridge shows Steffy’s photo to two women who haven’t seen her.
Now inside a church, Steffy lights candles.
Outside in the streets of Monte Carlo, Finn wonders, “Steffy, where are you?” He hears the church bell rings.
In Los Angeles, Sheila begs Deacon to let her stay. Deacon cannot harbor a fugitive. She vows he won’t get drug into this — they’ll never know she was there. Deacon asks if she expects him to give up his freedom for her. Sheila didn’t kill anyone. “No one died. Steffy and Finn are doing fine.” Deacon feels she got lucky and that doesn’t mean she gets a free pass. Sheila argues that the weeks of believing she had killed her own son were punishment enough. She recaps how she actually thought she had a chance to be a part of the family and reminds him that this tragedy will bring Steffy and Finn together and make them even better. Deacon asks, “Do you even hear yourself?” He wonders if he expects to keep on cruising like nothing ever happened. Sheila doesn’t know, but she can’t go back behind bars; she won’t survive there. Sheila knows she’s asking a lot but, “I need you.” Just then, Deputy Chief Baker starts hammering on the door. Sheila whispers and urgent, “Please,” to Deacon, who looks panicked.
In Monaco, Taylor reconvenes with Ridge. Neither of them has been able to find her.

Nearby, Finn nears the church just as Steffy emerges. From a distance, Finn calls out her name. Steffy sees Finn and can’t believe her eyes. In slow motion, they run to each other and embrace. Steffy’s legs nearly give out underneath her as she wails, “Finn, Oh my God. How?!” They look Finn holds his wife, who runs her hands over his shoulders and chest in disbelief before he pulls her to him again in another crushing embrace.
