Sheila’s Showdown With Steffy’s Family Escalates as She Confesses to Making Brooke Drink and Implicates Thomas
Friday, May 13, 2022: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Deacon stuns Brooke and Hope, Taylor rages at the woman who saved her life, and Sheila helps to jog Steffy's memory.

At the cliff house, Ridge and Taylor are outraged that Sheila is trying to blame Steffy for Finn’s death. “You just admitted it!” Sheila would never intentionally hurt him. She may have pulled the trigger that fateful night, but he’d still be alive if it weren’t for Steffy’s actions. She should come down off her high horse.

At Brooke’s place, she and Hope are highly amused by Deacon believing that Sheila might be accepted into Taylor’s family. Deacon insists today could be the beginning of a whole new chapter for Sheila. Hope feels like there’s more to the story; like he’s holding something back. Deacon can understand why they’re skeptical, but explains that Taylor and Sheila formed a bond. Brooke laughs, “That’s ridiculous.” Deacon insists they shared a life-altering experience. Hope titters, “Like what?” Deacon stuns them by replying, “Like Sheila saved Taylor’s life.” Hope and Brooke gawp.

At the cliff house, Taylor rails at Sheila for blaming Steffy for the chaos she caused. Sheila reminds her she saved her life and she was grateful to her. Taylor rages that the whole time she knew — she knew her daughter was lying in a coma because she shot her! “You haven’t changed. You’re still the same heartless bitch you always were!”
At Brooke’s place, Deacon has filled in Brooke and Hope off screen. Hope marvels at the events on the roof. Brooke feels it must have been terrifying for Taylor — dangling off the side of a roof with her life in Sheila’s hands. It’s far more likely she’d take a life than save one.

At the cliff house, Ridge rides Sheila about shooting her son in cold blood. She didn’t mean to. He can’t believe she’s trying to justify this by saying she intended to shoot someone else. Steffy calls her a psycho. Sheila complains that Finn just showed up in the alley… she didn’t have time to think. Ridge argues that she had time to think about making it look like a robbery. Sheila complains they’re trying to make it sound like she planned it out. “I didn’t. I just reacted.” Ridge rails about her leaving his daughter to die. Taylor jumps in about her showing up at the hospital with her fake grief. Sheila protests; she felt terrible. Taylor roars that she felt terrible because she’d just murdered her own son! As she lays into Sheila about playing the bereaved mother who only wanted a place in her grandson’s life, all the while knowing she was responsible for his father dying and his mother being at death’s door. “My God Sheila how do you even look at yourself?!?” Ridge chimes in, “Your sick.” Sheila switches gears to wanting Brooke to lose Ridge to Taylor. Steffy asks what Brooke has to do with this. Sheila tells Taylor she was trying to right a wrong — she has no idea how far above and beyond she’s already gone for her. Steffy sneers, “No one knows what you’re talking about.” Sheila replies, “You do. Go ahead. Tell them about New Year’s Eve.” Ridge demands she explains what she’s getting at.
At Brooke’s place, she and Hope want to know about Deacon’s relationship with Sheila. Deacon teases that maybe she’s jealous. Deacon explains that Sheila lost her son in a terrible way. For once, she has something in common with the family. What better tribute to Finn than to accept her into the family he left behind. Brooke, as a mother, does feel bad for Sheila. Deacon urges her to reach out, but Brooke says she can’t — Ridge would never allow her into their lives!
More: Sheila’s bent on revenge
At the cliff house, Sheila tells Steffy she gave her no choice but to shoot her. Ridge and Taylor fume. Sheila holds her head and tells Taylor she was trying to help her. That’s what New Year’s Eve was about. She loves her… she loves them all. Sheila wanted to be a part of it but kept getting doors slammed in her face, and what hurt the most was Steffy calling her dangerous and demented and saying she’d never have a place in her son’s life. “What was I supposed to do?” She just wanted compassion and understanding but Steffy wouldn’t give an inch. “You chose to defend Brooke over me. The woman that wrecked your family.” Taylor asks, “Why do you keep bringing up Brooke?” Sheila urges Steffy to tell her mother what they were arguing about in the alley that night. Steffy’s memory kicked in. She gasps, “You sabotaged an alcoholic. You set up Brooke to drink on New Year’s Eve.” Sheila’s eyes meet Ridge’s.
At Brooke’s place, Deacon agrees the Forresters have every reason to despise Sheila. Brooke repeats that Ridge won’t let her worm her way into the family by using Hayes. Deacon is jealous that Brooke keeps defending Ridge even though he’s staying with Taylor. Brooke states that he’s staying at Steffy’s because she betrayed him. “With you.” After all this time, she still doesn’t know what made her drink.

At the cliff house, Sheila admits she switched the labels on the champagne bottles and set up Brooke to drink. “I did it for your family,” she tells Steffy, who declares her to be truly delusional. Sheila scoffs at Brooke judging her as though she’s never done anything wrong. Ridge says, “You made my wife drink. Everything that’s happened since then is because of you.” Sheila got her to drink, but everything that happened with Deacon was all Brooke. She explains again that she was trying to help — if they don’t believe her they can ask Thomas. He saw that she was bringing his parents back together again. Steffy states, “She’s right. I heard Thomas on the phone with Sheila. He knew what she did to Brooke.” Ridge will deal with Thomas later. He asks Sheila what kind of a person she is, playing with peoples’ lives? He tears up as he recalls Brooke deciding she was a horrible person. “She’s not. It’s you. You don’t deserve to live.” He’s going to have her locked up and promises that every chance he gets, he’ll make her suffer. Steffy details Sheila’s transgressions and intones, “There’s a special place in hell for you, and that’s exactly where you’re going… after you spend the rest of your miserable life behind bars… Your reign of terror is over. It ends today.”
Next on The Bold and the Beautiful: Hope comforts Brooke, and Sheila refuses to go quietly, fighting to the end.
