At the cliff house, Steffy awakens after her night of passion with Finn to find he’s got the kids off and let her sleep in. He wants to spend the rest of the morning alone with her, but questions if she’ll check on her brother first. Steffy can’t make sense of him sneaking off with Sheila in an alley. Finn suggests she ask him later… much later. They kiss, but Steffy’s too worried about Thomas to stay there. “I have a bad feeling. I need to know what’s going on.” They get dressed and go over their great life together. She’s the perfect woman for him. They flash to Finn proposing. He tells his wife he’s even happier today and is blessed to be with a woman like her. They canoodle some more, and Steffy tells her husband she’s the one who feels lucky. They flash to the day Hayes was born. Finn reminds Steffy how precious their family is to him. Talk turns back to Thomas. She’ll explain to him that there’s no reason not to tell her the truth about Sheila.

At Forrester Creations, Thomas is irked to get another call from Sheila and wants her to lay off. They go over her being the reason Brooke got drunk that night. Sheila reminds him the truth will send Ridge right back to her, and they both know he doesn’t want that. Ridge and Carter enter and Thomas snaps, “I can’t deal with this right now,” before disconnecting. His father asks if everything’s alright. Carter wonders, “Is something going on?” Ridge questions if there’s something his son needs to talk about. Thomas recalls Sheila warning him not to tell Ridge. He talks about trying to make a decision about what’s best and long-term impact. Ridge applauds him for weighing risk.

At home, Brooke reflects on her beautiful dream and wishes it were true. Eric comes in to discuss her situation. Brooke admits she let Ridge go. She doesn’t know why she did it; she doesn’t want that. “I don’t know what I’m doing I don’t. I just can’t lose him. I can’t.” Over tea, Brooke reminds Eric this is why Stephanie worked so hard to keep her from Ridge. Eric chides her to stop it — she’s making things much worse with all this guilt. He knows Ridge is just as confused as she is. “He still loves you, Brooke.” She knows that, but he’s not there.

Eric muses that they’re being tested right now, but their bond will never be broken. Brooke questions why she drank that night — she hasn’t had the urge since. “It’s really not a struggle. Not like it was that night when I had that intense urge to drink… and why?” Brooke takes full responsibility, but she doesn’t think Ridge wants to hear it anymore. Eric insists the connection is still there and encourages her to be positive. It’s not a lost cause. Taylor means a lot to him, but Brooke is his soulmate. “He’ll come back.” Brooke’s unconvinced, but Eric is sure they’ll find their way back together again. Brooke concedes, “He IS the love of my life.”

At Forrester Creations, Ridge checks in with Thomas again. If he and Taylor seemed concerned it’s because they want him to be happy. Thomas reflects on how his family helped out when he went through tough times — he wants to make sure he’s there for them in the same way. “I want to make sure you end up happy.” Ridge wonders what that means. Thomas is just letting his father know he can count on him.

Sheila is smiling at photos of Hayes on her phone when a knock comes at her hotel room door — it’s Steffy. Sheila beams, “Oh Steffy! What a pleasant surprise!” Steffy intones, “I know, Sheila. I know what you’re up to.” Sheila asks how she found her. Steffy sniffs that it’s not fun, is it, having someone show up at your door uninvited? She figures Sheila is angling for more time at her house. Sheila insists they both want the same thing — she loves Finn and Hayes and believes Steffy’s parents should be back together. “I’m not the enemy here, Steffy. You have no idea what I would do to bring your family together.” She already feels like a part of it.
