Brooke Confronts Taylor About Making Out With Ridge — and Puts Her on Notice

At the cliff house, Taylor, in Ridge’s arms, assures him she and the kids will always be his safe place. Ridge loves the stability, but acknowledges he’s complicated. Taylor knows he’s processing. Ridge can’t make sense of everything going wrong again. Taylor has to go because she has a paying patient waiting, but feels Brooke sabotaged the marriage again. They may never know what led her to drink… those answers may never come. She kisses his cheek and goes.

At Brooke’s place, she tells Sheila that her life doesn’t concern her and orders her the hell out of her house. Sheila grits that Brooke couldn’t show her an ounce of compassion and now she’s going to know what it feels like to lose someone she loves. Sheila sneers about her boozing it up and turning to Deacon. Brooke takes full responsibility for what happened and insists she’s not been making excuses. She fumes at Sheila for sticking her nose where it doesn’t belong. She touches Sheila as she gestures, and the brunette warns her never to let that happen again. They argue about Brooke treating Sheila like the town pariah when she kisses other men while her husband’s stuck in a blizzard. Brooke doesn’t know how or why that side of her materialized again, but she’s working to ensure it never happens again. Sheila sneers that Ridge has already gone back to Taylor… so that part of her destiny is over.

At Il Giardino, Deacon realizes that Hope wants him to go to Ridge and ask him to take Brooke back. Hope confirms she wants him to save their marriage. She wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important. Deacon recaps how he could have taken Ridge out during their fight and went easy on him… but he’s not sure this is a good idea. Hope doesn’t know what else to do. They both feel some responsibility for what happened, so Deacon agrees to go see Ridge. “But I’m not making any guarantees.”

At the loft, Carter and Paris canoodle after making love. Carter grins, “What have we done?” Paris wants to do it again… and again. They start kissing and Carter groans that they shouldn’t be doing this. Paris challenges him to give her one good reason why not. He can’t. Paris insists they’re doing nothing wrong. Carter is convinced for the time being and they proceed to make love in various locations throughout the loft. After sex, Paris tells Carter, “That was the best ever.” She thinks they’re a perfect match and doesn’t regret doing this. “We’re free. There’s nothing keeping us from being together.”

At the cabin, Hope tells Liam she asked her dad to go to Ridge on her mom’s behalf. Liam is taken aback. She wonders if he thinks she made a mistake. Liam’s not sure, but the last time they were in the same room together they almost ripped each other’s heads off.

At Forrester Creations, Ridge turns to see Deacon at the office door and asks what the hell he’s doing there. Deacon reveals he’s there to convince him to go back to Brooke. They argue over whether or not what she did with Deacon was a betrayal. Deacon insists it was a drunken kiss and mocks Ridge for running back to Taylor. He didn’t hear about it from Brooke because he hasn’t seen her. “She wants you and only you.” Ridge fumes that Deacon’s a real piece of work. Deacon challenges the dressmaker not to do what he always does, which is run back to Taylor crying.

In her office, Taylor finishes up a call as Brooke appears. She says to the person on the phone, “See you next Tuesday,” and disconnects. She tells Brooke, “Please don’t come to my office unannounced.” Brooke reminds her how fiercely she fights for what she loves. “I will never let you steal my husband away.” She mentions Taylor making out with her husband and Taylor points out she has no room to judge. She questions why Brooke always ruins what she has with Ridge, usually with some other man. Taylor sees a destructive pattern and thinks she needs help. Brooke concedes, “Maybe,” but the biggest help would be Taylor keeping her hands and lips off her husband. She took advantage of Ridge being hurt and disillusioned. Brooke fumes about Taylor and her children getting in Ridge’s head and keeping him away from her. “You’re the one that’s going to end up getting hurt because I love my husband and I’m not going to let him go.”
