Finn Falls Hook, Line and Sinker for Sheila’s Ploy as He Rushes Her to the Hospital and Makes a Declaration to a Disbelieving Steffy
Monday, September 6, 2021: Today on The Bold and the Beautiful, Ridge worries about Finn's vulnerability, Quinn tries to reassure Eric, and Steffy gets a stunning phone call.
At the cliff house, Finn gives Sheila’s stats to 911 and says, “Hang in there, mom,” before going to unlock the door. Sheila smiles to herself. The paramedics arrive and Finn tells them that the patient is his mother. “We need to get her to the hospital.”
At Forrester Creations, Brooke, Ridge and Steffy discuss the restraining order against Sheila and the extra security at the house. Ridge insists they all need to be on the same page, and Steffy insists that Finn understands how dangerous his birth mother is. Brooke’s astounded as she recounts walking in on Finn and Jack with Sheila holding Hayes. Steffy’s convinced that Finn won’t be seeing Sheila ever again. Ridge thinks the bright side is that she and Finn worked it out. Steffy’s relieved and admits she was concerned about her relationship. In that moment all she cared about was protecting Hayes… even from Finn.
Brooke and Ridge hope Finn knows that Sheila can’t be in their lives. Ridge thought he understood, but he didn’t live that danger. He warns Steffy, who knows he wants her to be realistic. Brooke thinks he’s trying to say that Finn discovering his birth mother is huge and he must have an emotional connection on some level. Ridge worries that Finn let her in the house even after being told she was dangerous. Steffy assures that he won’t be vulnerable to her again.
At the Forrester mansion, Eric listens as Quinn tells Shauna that she can sacrifice her sex life for him. She says there isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for Eric. “I love him.” Eric shows himself and says, “I love you too, Quinn.” Shauna sputters that they were just talking about how happy Quinn is to be back with him. Eric assures Quinn her love and support mean the world to him. Shauna makes a speech about pushing through challenges and making it to the other side. She believes the two of them can do anything.
Shauna leaves, and Eric tells Quinn that she’s a good friend. Quinn lets Eric know that she shared with Shauna what was going on with him. “Please don’t be mad at me.” Eric understands she needed someone to talk to; if anyone should be apologizing it’s him — he should have been truthful about all of this months ago. “I pushed you away.” Quinn argues, “I broke our vows!” Eric let her believe he was no longer interested in being intimate with her and he’s sorry. Quinn promises they’ll get through this and embraces him. Quinn flashes to her and Carter expressing their love before assuring Eric she’s devoted to him. Eric worries this problem will never be solved. “How can I ask you to bury that part of you… you’re a passionate woman!” Quinn reminds him he’s fulfilled her before and he’ll do it again. Eric murmurs, “I can’t make love to you…” Quinn tells him, “Stop it,” and pulls him into a hug.
At the hospital, Finn brings the doctor up to date on Sheila’s collapse and vitals. As she’s wheeled in he assures her, “Mom, I’m right here. I’m going to be right by your side.” In the hospital room, Finn flashes to Sheila’s collapse and is told by the doctor that she has no signs of a heart attack. Finn explains she’s his mother — his birth mother — he finally found her and he can’t lose her… not like this.
At Forrester Creations, Steffy takes a call from Finn, who relays that he’s at the hospital. She learns something happened and there was an emergency — with his mother. Steffy asks if Li’s okay, but Finn replies, “Not her. She’s fine. It’s Sheila.” Steffy is stunned to hear that he was with her when she collapsed… at their house. Finn explains she showed up and he made it clear that he never wanted to see her again, but she passed out. “I know you don’t want to hear this, but she’s my mother, and I don’t want to lose her.”
In the hospital bed, Sheila listens to Finn say he doesn’t want to lose her and vows that no one will ever keep them apart. “Not even you, Steffy,” she thinks to herself.
