Finn is Bowled Over by Steffy’s Confession
Tuesday October 20, 2020: On today's new episode recap of The Bold and the Beautiful, Zoe serenades Zende, Charlie teases Carter, and Liam comes to a realization.
In the cabin, a deflated Liam says he never wanted to make Hope feel disrespected. She asks him to take a step back, because from where she’s standing he looks jealous and like he can’t accept Steffy moving on with another man. Liam says his issue is with Finn, not Steffy. Hope doesn’t think he’d have a problem with Finn if Steffy didn’t have feelings for him. She asks him to please move on… for her. Hope reminds him they have their own lives to live with their family. Liam decides she’s right; Steffy’s going to do what she wants to do and it’s beyond his control. He insists it’s not jealousy, but Hope argues he crossed a line telling Steffy what she could and couldn’t do… it made her a little worried about their family. Liam doesn’t want to jeopardize what they have. “You are my bedrock,” he tells Hope, and vows to focus on them. He loves her and is grateful for every day he gets to spend with her.
At the cliff house, Steffy and Finn discuss Thomas’ protectiveness. She feels it should be clear to everyone that she doesn’t need protection from Finn and that he makes her very happy. Talk turns to Liam and Steffy wishes he could accept Finn being in her life. Finn assures her he will do everything he can to make sure Steffy and Kelly are safe and happy. Steffy recounts that she, Liam, and Hope have been mixed up for so long; sometimes it seems like a family and other times she feels like her mom. It may have been one reason she took the pills, but after getting help she’s stronger. “That’s because of you, Finn.” Steffy wants him in her life and declares, “I love you, Finn.” Bowled over, Finn replies, “I love you too.” They share a kiss.
In the Forrester design office, Zoe recounts how Carter pulled out a key and asked her to move in with him; she just couldn’t do it. Zende asks, “You told him you couldn’t move in with him?” Zoe sighs that it was sweet but there are important steps they haven’t taken yet. It’s all very unexpected. “What do you think I should do?” she wonders. Zende questions if she’s asking his opinion on whether she should continue to see Carter. Zoe senses a connection between them and doesn’t want to mess that up; like asking awkward questions about her personal life. She appreciates him listening. Zende notices her pick up a guitar and learns she sings. He asks to hear a song. He records as she serenades him (Kiara Barnes’ plays her original song “I’m Just Fine”) and is blown away. “It was beautiful.”
In the main office, Charlie drops in to congratulate Carter on his promotion and teases about his burgeoning relationship with Zoe. He then offers to give advice anytime – as Carter’s love guru. Carter grins that things are going pretty great between him and Zoe.
Next on The Bold and the Beautiful, Zende shares his innermost desire with Zoe.
