The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog!
Uh oh! (Soaps.com)
Week of May 31 – June 4:
It was a pretty good week for The Bold and the Beautiful, but Thursday’s episode left me worried about where they were planning to go with Hope’s graduation party storyline, and Friday’s episode confirmed the worst! It’s all totally unbelievable of course, but I laughed my head off at the expression on poor Oliver’s face! Thoughts for the week:
Give It To Me Straight.
I like Steffy best when she is telling it like it is, not when she’s being phony sweet. She and Brooke are two of a kind, so it’s funny to see them go head-to-head.
Too Much, Too Soon?
Don’t get me wrong, I love Patrick Duffy, but Stephen’s sudden appearance in Pam’s living room in boxer shorts, sans shirt, was just a tad creepy! Things seem to be moving pretty fast between this pair, and it’s kind of hard to buy into. A more gradual seduction, and some resistance from Pam would have made this storyline better. That said, I’m seeing the vulnerable side of Pam and hoping that Stephen complicates his own plan by falling for her for real. If that can’t happen, then let her shoot Stephanie – definitely good for some family drama!
I enjoyed the Brooke and Ridge scenes this week, with Brooke dancing for Ridge beside the pool, and the pair together in the sauna (okay, it felt a little 'peeping tom'), just as much as I enjoyed the ice cream in bed scenes with Taylor and Whip a week or two ago. It's great that B&B recognizes that it's not only teens and twentysomethings that can be flirtatious, sexy, and have fun.
You are NOT the Father.
How is it that Bridget was tormented over keeping the paternity secret from Owen, but seems completely okay with continuing to keep the secret from her own husband! Take Soaps.com's Bridget's Secret Snap Poll.
The Party's in Full SWING!
I had a feeling Oliver was going to wind up getting busy with someone other than Hope at the party, I just wasn't sure if it would be Steffy or Brooke. Although it appears it was Brooke, I still wouldn't be surprised to learn it was somehow Steffy, since Brooke did not have the necklace on in any of the scenes beforehand. Either way, the days of sweet and innocent romance are over for shell-shocked Oliver! Will Hope harden and become a bad girl after all is revealed? Who knows, but it will be good fun watching this come out!
