Bold & Beautiful Stars Share Photos & Videos From 5K Walk to Raise Funds for L.A.’s Union Rescue Mission

Bold and Beautiful actors come together to help others.
Bold & Beautiful actors joined the virtual 5K walk in Los Angeles on Sunday June 14 that was held in support of Union Rescue Mission. Matthew Atkinson, who plays Thomas Forrester, and Katrina Bowden, who appears as Florence Fulton, were two of the stars who participated on Team Bold and Beautiful. Atkinson posted on Instagram about the event, and shared several photos, noting that last year he rappelled down a building, and this year they walked. He took the time to explain what the charity was all about and stated, “@unionrescuemission is a non-profit that has been serving people in need in LA for 129 years. They’ve been in the community through the Great Depression, WWII, civil rights, and are stronger than ever today. They help provide shelter, food, counseling, and guidance to people suffering in one of the poorest parts of our city.”
Rena Sofer (Quinn Forrester), also took part along with her family, and shared a video explaining that Union Rescue Mission hoped to eradicate homelessness on L.A.’s Skid Row. Many will recall Skid Row was featured in a Bold and Beautiful storyline centered on Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) years ago.
Thorsten Kaye, Bold and Beautiful’s Ridge Forrester, was another star who shared a photo as he set out for the walk, and of the Union Rescue Mission, he stated in part, “They give hope to people who have lost theirs.”
Don Diamont (Bill Spencer) took to his Instagram account to share a selfie wearing the t-shirt from the special event, and revealed he was doing his part at home on his elliptical. He said, “Just got on my elliptical as part of Team @boldandbeautifulcbs for the virtual 5k @URM walk to fight homelessness! LETS GO!!!”
Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan) did her 5K run on the beach in California, and shared a video from the sunny location by the ocean. In her post she shared a statistic – The LAHSA Homelessness Count Report jumped 14% in Los Angeles to 66,433 – and encouraged followers to donate to the cause.
