9 Defining Events in the Life and Loves of B&B’s Wyatt Spencer

Bold and Beautiful character has battled family interference and conflicted loyalties.

In light of Soaps.com interview with Bold and Beautiful’s Darin Brooks and Kelly Kruger talking the new normal ahead, the Wyatt cliffhanger and the actor wanting to be bad with Rena Sofer (Quinn Fuller Forrester), it was an ideal time to delve into the history of Wyatt Spencer and his journey since coming to Los Angeles.

Wyatt Fuller grew up believing his father was dead, and it wasn’t until he followed his mother Quinn Fuller (Rena Sofer) to Los Angeles, and connected with Hope Logan (then Kim Matula), who caught him taking a solar shower, that he learned the truth – Spencer Publications magnate Bill Spencer Jr. (Don Diamont) was his biological father and had paid Quinn to have an abortion.

At odds with both Bill and half-brother, Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), the rift only deepened when Wyatt began romancing Liam’s love, Hope. Eventually, the brothers bonded when Wyatt saved Liam from Quinn, who was about to kill him with a sword, but Wyatt went on to marry Hope overseas on Bill’s yacht, the Stella Maris, after Liam was waylaid by Quinn and failed to show up to marry Hope at the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Wyatt and Hope conceived a baby together, but Hope miscarried during a confrontation with Wyatt’s mother, and decided to end the marriage and left Los Angeles.

When Wyatt and Liam teamed up to deal with Rick Forrester’s (Jacob Young) power trip at Forrester Creations, Wyatt dallied with Maya Avant’s (Karla Mosley) younger sister, Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) to get information. He learned Maya was transgender and Bill published the revelation in his magazine. Nicole’s trust in Wyatt ended there.

Wyatt became interested in Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), another woman who was involved with Liam, but began dating Australian cousin, Ivy, instead. Things progressed to the point that Wyatt proposed to her, but Quinn interrupted and revealed Ivy had kissed Liam, which effectively put an end to that relationship and Wyatt turned his attentions back to Steffy.

After Liam disappeared and sent Steffy text messages ending their relationship, she turned to Wyatt and the pair was married in a beach ceremony. Later, it was revealed that Liam, who had been suffering amnesia, was being held captive by Wyatt’s mother, Quinn, who had sent Steffy the messages. Liam returned and wanted Steffy back, and eventually Wyatt agreed to a quickie divorce.

Wyatt took a PR job at Forrester Creations, which led to his next romance, as he and his father’s ex-wife, Katie Logan (Heather Tom), shared a kiss during a fashion showdown event overseas in Monaco. Wyatt and Katie embarked on a sexy affair, which they kept hidden initially due to the expected negative reactions. Quinn found out and dragged Katie from her son’s bed. The pair became engaged and dealt with Bill’s disapproval, but Katie soured on the relationship thinking about Wyatt becoming his half-brother Will’s stepfather, and Wyatt agreed to end things.

Wyatt ran into Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) at Bikini Bar when both were drowning their sorrows. He invited her to stay in his beach house and they fell in love. Wyatt managed to get Bill to back a new fashion house for Sally, but was stunned when she instead opted to stay at Forrester Creations. When Wyatt ran into his former high school sweetheart, Flo Fulton, who unbeknownst to Wyatt was involved in the illegal adoption of Liam’s baby who was believed dead, the writing was on the wall for his relationship with Sally. He caught her in a fib about a text from her ex, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson), and dumped her for Flo.

When Wyatt learned about Flo’s role in the horrific baby swap, he switched allegiances once again. After apologizing to Sally, he proposed to her and they planned to be married.

Wyatt was dismayed when Sally, who had once had feelings for his brother, slipped up and called him Liam during a conversation. Put off, he dragged his heels on getting her an engagement ring and planning the wedding. When Flo managed to redeem herself to an extent by donating a kidney to Katie to save her life, Wyatt broke off his engagement to Sally. Though he and Flo reunited, he moved Sally back into the beach house upon learning she had a terminal illness.
