Denise Richards Stars in Dark Film, ‘The Secret Life of Cheerleaders’
Bold and Beautiful actress headlines Lifetime on Labor Day weekend.
Actress Denise Richards, who plays Shauna Fulton on The Bold and the Beautiful, will be starring in The Secret Life of Cheerleaders as part of Lifetime’s Cheer, Rally, Kill end-of-summer movie line-up and Soaps.com has the details. As the summer comes to an end with the return to school, Lifetime will air five movies that show the darker side of cheerleading from September 2 – 15. Denise Richards will headline the first premiere, The Secret Life of Cheerleaders, along with co-star Savannah May (School of Rock, Knight Squad).
The movie tells the story of Ava (May) who arrives at her new school as a transfer student and gains instant popularity when she makes the cheerleading squad after trying out at the insistence of her overly-ambitious mother, Candice (Richards). Directed by Peter Sullivan (Secret Obsession, Christmas Made to Order) and written by Anna White (Sister of the Bride, Christmas Wonderland), The Secret Life of Cheerleaders also stars Alexandria DeBerry (A.N.T. Farm, Shake It Up) as Katrina, and soap opera alum Josie Davis, who once played Grace Turner on Young and Restless, as Ms. Sinclair.
