Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton reveals B&B character
Exciting guest appearance.
Updated September 16:
Perez Hilton will be playing Reverend Murphy, who marries Quinn (Rena Sofer) and Eric (John McCook), and will appear on Friday September 23 and Monday September 26, according to TVInsider, who interviewed the blogger, getting the gossip for his role. Hilton says, “They called and asked if I was interested. I said, ‘Yes, let’s do it!’ But then weeks passed by and I didn’t hear anything back. I waited…and waited. And then I called them and said, ‘Is the offer still there? I want to do this!’ And that’s how it happened. I really, really wanted to be on ‘B&B’. In fact, I had so much fun, now I want to get ordained for real!” He had a good time, bonding with Rena Sofer, he says, confessing, “Everyone at ‘B&B’ was such a pro and so welcoming. I was shocked—well, not shocked because you always hear how hard daytime soap actors work—but I was so impressed by how much dialogue they do in a day. We did a 12-page wedding scene in only one take. No mess-ups. Trust me, I showed up over-prepared. I knew my lines perfectly. I came early. I did not want to be one of those people who holds up production.” Hilton went on to admit his love of all of the soap operas, claiming to have been on “All My Children” in 2000. “I had no lines and can’t remember the situation, though if Susan Lucci had been in the scene I certainly would have remembered that. But I do remember that another extra that day was Jonathan Bennett.”
