“Something that took away all of the pain.”

Soaps.com’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” Throwback Thursday is taking a look back at 1988 when Eric Forrester visited who he believed to be his comatose daughter Angela and listened to the story behind Stephanie’s magic pill…

Katie is currently an emotional wreck, due to the drama surrounding her husband Bill and her sister Brooke. Years ago, Angela Forrester was bed-ridden and emotionless as her father Eric sat at her side during a visit. Dr. Powell, who was passing off an imposter named Deveney Dixon as Angela, appeared and witnessed Eric doing something that his wife Stephanie always referred to as her ‘magic pill’, a moment spent doing something specific with her daughter.

He explained how Stephanie told him that she shared a bond with Angela, one that she didn’t have with any of her other children, and how ‘these magic moments’ seemed to wash away all of the pain surrounding Angela’s comatose state. Eric understood how the simple act could be therapeutic and why Stephanie called these moments spent with Angela her magic pill.
