The Bold and the Beautiful Weekly Blog!
How fun was Jackie and Stephanie bonding at the bar? I’ve said this many times, but people need friends on this show to commiserate with or confide in. It’s even more fun when two people who aren’t friends (Stephanie and Jackie) come together to find some common ground. And of course Jackie’s comment about Eric needing to be taught a lesson made us think Stephanie could have sent the designs to Nick.
It's not related to the stolen designs storyline, but I also really enjoyed Bridget this week when she laid into Rick and Steffy at Big Bear. Now we just need to go deeper into her and Owen’s flirtation and it looks like next week will be the first step. I for one can’t wait! Check out our Spoilers for more on that storyline.
Before I wrap up my blog this week, here are a couple quick things that made me scratch my head:
* Considering he blames himself for Phoebe’s accident, should Rick really be driving right now? Especially with Ridge’s other daughter in the passenger seat?
* It’s way too soon for Rick and Steffy to be ‘in love’. Lust? Sure. But love is a bit too much at this point. Do you agree?
* I’ve been a defender of Ridge and Brooke’s for some time, but I had to agree with Stephanie this week that Brooke is not paying attention when it comes to her man. Ridge is a mess and Brooke thinks he’s okay with seeing the man he blames for his daughter’s death every day. She needs to reevaluate the situation STAT!
So I’ll turn it over to you guys now. What did you think about this week and the mystery person sending Nick and Jackie the designs? Feel free to share your thoughts below and I’ll be back with more thoughts on The Bold and the Beautiful next week. Maybe we’ll find out who the mystery person is by then!

B&B Breakdown for the week of January 12.
This week brought us a new umbrella storyline on The Bold and the Beautiful, which is giving formerly backburned characters more screen time and has definitely caught my attention.
I am intrigued by the whole stolen design thing and even though we may have seen it before, it’s bringing everyone into the mix and it’s even more interesting since it’s becoming a bit of a whodunit. And lets face it, most of the canvas has a reason to want to sabotage Forrester Creations right now. While they seem to really be focusing on Thorne, Felicia, Rick, Katie or Stephanie as culprits, I have a feeling it might be someone we haven’t suspected. Pam maybe? That’s just a guess, I have no knowledge of who it is.
For the first time in a long time, I liked seeing Nick and Katie onscreen. The story so far has nothing to do with Brooke or Bridget or Jack or their feelings. Katie’s not being an insecure mess over Nick or obsessing over Jack. They are involved, but their storyline is business, not personal. It’s a relief to get away from the overdramatics of their recent past.
It was also refreshing to see real life being reflected somewhat into the storyline. The economy is hurting everyone and the fact that that’s why Jackie M is doing poorly is a good way to jump start this new story arc. Of course, Nick will rebound and they will be fine, but every once in awhile it’s a nice change of pace for soaps to acknowledge there’s a real world out there and not everyone is having an easy time of it.
