Update – Soaps.com just got word from Ashley’s publicist, who tells us, her character on “True Blood”, Daphne, is “a sexy down to earth, country girl who is not the greatest waitress. Sam Merlotte (Sam Trammell) couldn’t care less, as he gets to know her better.”

We were also reassured that, “She will also continue her role as ‘Bridget Forrester,’ on CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Original post – Ashley Jones (Bridget) has landed a new role! Word is she will appear in the second season of the HBO vampire series, “True Blood”.

Slated for a six episode story arc, Ashley will star as Daphne, a new Merlotte’s waitress. Reports are assuring B&B fans that this role won’t affect her time on the CBS soap.
