Sad news.

Actress Kathryn Joosten (Karen, “Desperate Housewives”), who appeared on “The Bold and the Beautiful” as herself during Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) cancer storyline last year, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 72. She passed away at her home in Westlake Village, California, with her family by her side. Joosten appeared on the show to talk about her real-life battle with lung cancer when Stephanie was trying to get Nick (Jack Wagner) to give up smoking.
